Fabulous Faywood is tucked along a leafy lane and with private parking and lots of outdoor space, you'd never know you were just a two minute stroll from the centre of the thriving coastal village of St Agnes. Faywood is a wonderfully relaxed, family-friendly house, a contemporary eco-home built to the highest standards and offering masses of space for families to spread out. An air source heat pump and solar panels provide all the heating and hot water you could need, and the carefully designed accommodation allows two families to share with privacy and space for all. There is a big family-room on the ground floor with kitchen, dining and sitting areas with a mezzanine sitting-room on the floor above, and a wrap-around deck on all sides of the house provides plenty of outdoor living space. The village's facilities are practically on the doorstep, with restaurants, shops, pubs and galleries just a stroll away. The famous surfing beach at Trevaunance Cove is just a fifteen minute walk down picturesque Rocky Lane, offering spectacular views as you go. There are miles of coastal footpaths across the nearby cliffs, where stunning sunsets turn the sky red and orange as the sun sinks over the water. This pleasant village welcomes visitors with open arms and provides everything you could need for a fantastic family holiday, and in addition the friendly Owners live next door and are happy to offer recommendations for places to go and things to do.

The front door at Faywood opens into a wide hallway which leads through to the big family-room, where dedicated kitchen, dining and sitting areas allow you to all gather together throughout the day. This is the heart of the house and perfect for long family meals and sociable times. The kitchen has a dual-fuel range cooker, great for catering for big family meals, and a big fridge/freezer for storing all your locally-sourced treats and chilling those essential holiday drinks. Floor to ceiling doors lead out to a south-facing deck, seamlessly merging indoor and outdoor living when the sun shines down. Two bedrooms on this floor, a double and a dorm room for three, share a shower-room with a huge walk-in, drench-head shower. The big utility-room has a washing machine and tumble-drier and plenty of space for storing surfboards, wetsuits and beach gear. Upstairs, the mezzanine sitting-room has a soaring and huge corner window offering amazing views across the village. This is a great place for children and teens to hang out after long days at the beach, while parents linger over leisurely meals around the dining-table below. A glass balustrade screens the walkway which leads to two further bedrooms (one with an Emperor-size bed and the other with bunks) and the big family bathroom. You can step out of the door at Faywood and walk to a butcher, bakery, pizza shop, fish and chip shop, greengrocers, mini-market and numerous cafes, pubs and bistros; everything you could need is here. There is a highly respected surf shop just down the hill, so you can book surf lessons for the children, stock up on great beach gear or even order a bespoke surfboard (what a souvenir that would be!). The coastline, cliffs and beaches around St Agnes are a designated UNESCO World Heritage Site with breathtaking views from the coastal footpaths. The cliffs are dotted with the ruins of granite-built engine houses, relics of the area's tin-mining past and site of many film shoots (this is the heart of Poldark country and you may even meet Poldark yourself if you're lucky!). Magnificent sandy beaches appear as the tide drops back at local Trevaunance Cove, and also at nearby Chapel Porth, Porthtowan and Perranporth too, all lifeguarded from Easter to October and great for both families and surfers of all abilities.
