The water at Talland Bay seems to glitter in the sun, as if a million fireflies were dancing on the surface. What better place to relax and take in this breathtaking view than Little Phoenix, perched just above the sand and shingle beach and facing out over the bay. This delightful detached cottage has reverse accommodation to make the most of the superb panoramic coastal and countryside views, with the open plan living-room on the upper floor. Patio doors open out to a big wide balcony where you can sit in peace as the sun sets at the end of an adventurous day and watch the sky turn gold and red above the waters of bay.
Little Phoenix has a ground floor bedroom with en suite shower-room and patio doors out to a fenced deck area with countryside views, perfect for morning coffee. Upstairs, the open plan living-room has windows on three sides allowing light and sunshine to pour into the room, where a comfortable sofa and armchair are set before the view. There is a fitted kitchen-area and patio doors lead out from the dining-area to the wide balcony, facing across undulating meadows on two sides and the fabulous sea view on the other. With a delightful beachside cafe just down the lane, and a restaurant and brasserie at the nearby hotel, you won't even need to cook so this is the ideal place to relax and unwind from the stresses of daily life. The coastal footpath almost passes the door, giving access to spectacular scenic walks to the old smugglers' haunt of Polperro in one direction and the busy fishing harbour of Looe in the other, perfect for dog walkers and enthusiastic walkers. Even in the cooler months, storm-watching from the comfort of this wonderfully cosy, centrally heated, double-glazed cottage is hugely enjoyable. Neighbouring Phoenix (3873) accommodates eight guests and shares the superb views, so larger groups can book the two together.
