This stunning first floor, studio apartment, in rural south Somerset just 30 minutes from the stunning east Devon and Dorset Jurassic coast, is an exceptionally high quality hideaway that will surely become a favourite bolthole to return to time and again. Easy to get to, yet off the beaten track, Mill Stream Loft (previously known as Kitchells Studio) is beautifully designed, furnished in a welcoming eclectic contemporary style, very spacious and above all so peaceful. The open plan living area includes a well-equipped kitchen, a deep leather sofa and recliner and a dining-table. There is a table and chairs on the balcony for romantic meals for two overlooking the surrounding countryside. Tucked around a corner at the far end of the studio is a super comfortable king-size bed and a lovely en suite shower-room. The studio faces away from the Owners' house so you will have privacy and tranquility sitting out on the balcony with not another house in sight, just countryside views.
Mill Stream Loft is above the Owners' detached garaging which is used to store a small collection of classic cars, so you will not be disturbed by any noise. Outside stairs from the parking-area and lawned garden, with its little wildlife pond, take you up to the balcony and to the front door of the studio with its painted wooden floorboards, stylish lighting and a luxurious 'boutique' feel that speaks quality throughout. There are footpaths from your doorstep; one takes you over the stream and across the crest of a hill with panoramic views all the way to the Quantock Hills, to the historic little market town of Ilminster where there is a weekly farmers' market, as well as cafes, restaurants and independent shops to browse in. Another takes you across fields to the pretty village of Dowlish Wake where you can enjoy a taste of traditional Somerset cider at Perry's Cider Mills with its cafe and shop filled with local produce. There is a great local pub there too, The New Inn - a lovely stroll along the footpaths on a light summer's evening.
Open plan living-room with kitchen, dining and bedroom areas. TV and DVD player. Electric hob, electric oven, microwave, fridge and dishwasher. Double bed (5') and en suite Shower-room with shower, WC and wash-basin
There is a low sloping ceiling to each side of the kitchen-area. *A cot is not provided, bring your own travel cot.
