Woodside Cottage

2.1 miles S of Padstow / Sleeps 4 (no children under 7)

7 Nights from £358 - £894

Woodside Cottage is a sparkling gem of a cottage! Behind the traditional stone facade of this stylishly furnished end of terrace cottage, the decor is crisp and white with accents of blue. Outside, the small terraced flower borders at the front provide a wonderful welcome and at the back there's a small enclosed patio-area to enjoy morning coffee whilst you plan the day ahead. Situated in an elevated position above the main road passing through the picturesque creekside village of Little Petherick, only a stone’s throw from the coast to coast Saints Way and a short drive to Padstow, this is a great base for getting out and about in north Cornwall. In the village you can enjoy lunch or dinner at the Old Mill Bistro, or why not pop up to Cornwall’s latest hotspot, Hawksfield, which is a great place for eating, shopping and art.

Your choice of days out are endless. Beach days are plentiful with eight stunning beaches all nearby. Hikers can either take to the coastal footpath or pick up the Saints Way in the village, a 27 mile route stretching right across Cornwall from Padstow to Fowey on the South Coast – don’t try it all in one day! The lively towns of Wadebridge and Padstow both offer independent shopping, a great choice of pubs, cafes and restaurants, a calendar of festivals and events and access to the renowned Camel Trail. The historic houses and gardens of Prideaux Place, Trerice and Lanhydrock are well worth a visit and for more culture the Cathedral City of Truro beckons. After a great day of adventures, it’s time to return to Woodside Cottage to enjoy supper on the patio, or relax with a glass of wine in front of the wood-burner. Perfect!
