A hidden gem nestled in a back street in the heart of St Keverne, the largest village on the Helford featuring two pubs and a church clustered around a pretty central square.
Driftwood is more than just a holiday cottage as this home-from-home offers a warm welcome from the moment you step through the front door – from the comfort and stylish furnishings of the open plan sitting/dining-room with French doors opening onto the private enclosed courtyard garden, which is a real sun-trap in summer, to the beautifully furnished first floor bedrooms.
Driftwood is a perfect package for a small family or two couples wanting to explore this ruggedly beautiful and unspoilt area whether coming for a week or two or a short break.
The 15th Century church in the heart of the village has a distinctive octagonal spire and this friendly village has not only a butcher, a bakery, a local convenience store and a Post Office, but also a very good restaurant and a fish and chip van visiting every week. A short 10 to 15 minute walk will take you to Roskilly's tea room and ice cream parlour and if you like to venture a bit further on foot, why not take the path to Coverack where you will find a selection of restaurants and cafes around this pretty bay.
There is so much to see in this area depending on how active or inactive you want to be, good shopping can be found in Falmouth and Truro and, for supplies, nearby Helston has numerous supermarkets, banks and cafes too.
