Set amidst truly unspoilt Devonshire countryside, close to the Devon and Cornwall border, Scarlett’s Barn is a delightful home-from-home barn conversion ideal for those who want to get away from it all. The spacious slate-floored open plan living area will ensure you spend the maximum time together on your holiday, and upstairs two comfortable bedrooms will provide a great night’s sleep. The mature gardens are an absolute joy and you will while away many an hour sitting out and enjoying their delights whilst soaking in the glorious views. With only the Owners as your near neighbours, this is the perfect rural idyll where peace and tranquility abound, bird song delights and stargazing is a must.

This is a great base for exploring this beautiful part of the country with daily outings and fun-filled days aplenty. Majestic Dartmoor is a walker’s paradise with stunning views, rugged wide open spaces and iconic granite tors waiting to be discovered. Gaze at the beautiful gardens of Cotehele and The Garden House and conquer the castles of Lydford and Launceston. Grand designs of bygone days are in abundance with Buckland Abbey, Castle Drogo and Lanhydrock House to name but a few and the coasts, both north and south, beckon; with surfers riding the waves at Bude and Widemouth Bay on the north and maritime history galore on the south. The market towns of Launceston and Tavistock offer independent shopping and the local village of Lifton has a choice of places to eat out and a terrific farm shop where you can stock up on all your essential culinary supplies.
