Stunning can be an over-used term but Ida Cottage really lives up to the description. Under-floor heating throughout, toasty slate-flooring downstairs and oak-flooring upstairs, the sitting/dining-room has a wood-burner and attractive furnishings, grey with flashes of burnt orange. There is an up-to-the-minute kitchen and three beautiful en suite bedrooms; crisp white linen and soft-hued throws, each an oasis of calm – just the sound of birdsong and the burble of the river. All this and much more, the outside area (shared with neighbouring Lena Cottage) is not only beautiful, it is fully equipped to entertain the whole family. With a fabulous trampoline, a pair of goal posts placed sensibly in oodles of space, to a delightful picnic bench to enjoy a touch of alfresco dining on. There is something to entertain the whole family right on your doorstep.
