Ideal for a couple or for three guests, Purtington Barn Studio in south Somerset is a brand new cottage conversion just a short drive inland from Lyme Regis, Dorset's iconic seaside town, and the famous Jurassic Coast. This is an ideal location for exploring both counties. There are totally unspoilt rural views from its private elevated position and three sets of French windows open onto the beautifully sunny southwest-facing patio. The contemporary open plan design offers the flexibility of the double bedroom and shower-room on the ground floor and the single is tucked away on one of two mezzanine levels.
The great thing about this location is that you are close to the borders where three beautiful counties meet – Somerset, east Devon and Dorset. The amazing Jurassic Coast runs along the length of the east Devon coast from Budleigh Salterton into Dorset at Lyme Regis and from there on towards Chesil Beach. Inland there is much to do as well, with historic houses dotting the gentle countryside. From the nature reserves on the Somerset Levels to the wide expanses of the Quantock Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty leading to the west Somerset coast, there are great outings for all. There is even a Spa Hotel and golf course at Cricket St Thomas just a couple of miles away where you can buy a day pass to use many of the facilities. This most peaceful of retreats offers free internet access that is sufficient for emailing and for access to the web but not for downloading large files and streaming films.
