This really is the most beautifully designed bolthole for two. A romantic retreat with 'wow' factor in a traditional, rural hamlet setting in gorgeous south Somerset, close to the Dorset border. The Coach House, which once housed the local vet’s pony and trap, is tucked within the grounds of Peel House, a period property at the heart of the village of North Perrott, which lies in a conservation area. The ground floor is very spacious, filled with light and with beautiful furnishings from Designers Guild. The bedroom, complete with petite en suite shower-room, takes up the first floor, a cosy and welcoming space where you can snuggle up in the king-size bed and luxurious bedding at the end of a day out exploring.

This cottage gives you the best of several options – an out-of-season escape where you can just stay in with the wood-burner roaring and switch off from a hectic life with a glass of wine and a pile of books, a base for exploring the many walks that this part of Somerset offers whatever the time of year – for example the River Parrett Trail which you can join directly from the village, a perfect summer location for easy access to the Jurassic Coast, starting at West Bay, Bridport and on to Lyme Regis and the other pretty coastal towns and villages along the Dorset and east Devon coast, or a place to stay that is within a shout of some of the county's best historic properties – the National Trust’s Montacute House, Lytes Cary and Barrington Court. The cottage is just to the side of a little village lane and has off-road parking and around the back, overlooking the Owners’ gardens, a dedicated patio where you will feel very private and relaxed if you feel like eating al fresco. You will be within easy walking distance of the pub or the garden centre shop and cafe too.
