This lovely semi-detached Victorian house is tucked away just off the village square in the picturesque village of Portscatho, on the beautiful Roseland peninsula. The reversed level accommodation has bedrooms and bathrooms on the ground floor, with the light and airy sitting-room and contemporary kitchen/breakfast-room on the floor above to take advantage of the stunning views over Gerrans Bay towards Porthcurnick Beach and Pednavadan Point.

Bi-fold doors open onto a patio with table and chairs and a sunny terraced garden sloping up the hillside with sitting-out areas, a built-in barbecue and wonderful views of the bay. Perfect for walkers, with the coastal footpath which passes through the village and continues past beautiful beaches around the peninsula.

Tatams is the village beach, appearing as the tide goes out and perfect for swimming, sandcastle building and water sports, with Tatams boutique beachside cafe selling great coffee and delicious biscotti and cakes. The little sheltered harbour houses fishing boats, and there are shops and galleries to explore. The Roseland peninsula is an absolute delight with its superb sandy beaches and tree-lined creeks.

There are many wonderful eating places within a few miles, from the famous Hidden Hut at Porthcurnick beach just outside the village, the Rosevine and Driftwood hotels with their outstanding restaurants within a couple of miles and The Idle Rocks and Hotel Tresanton in nearby St Mawes, both offering exceptional food and sublime sea views. There are galleries selling original Cornish art, farmers’ markets and renowned Cornish gardens to explore. The nearby King Harry Ferry crosses the River Fal giving easy access to the pretty Cathedral City of Truro, maritime Falmouth and the dramatic cliffs and sandy surfing beaches of the north coast.
