Willow is part of The Emerald, an award-winning eco development set in tranquil countryside just minutes from Falmouth and Truro, and is a lovely contemporary single-storey eco-retreat offering luxurious accommodation for couples. The surrounding five acres of beautifully tended grounds offer an indoor swimming pool, gym and tennis court, woodland paths and an ornamental lake.
Level access from the parking-area leads into a big kitchen/dining-room where a pale blue Rangemaster cooker will delight keen chefs and have them donning an apron in no time! There is a separate utility-room with dishwasher and washing machine/drier, and a shower-room with a drench-head power shower. The bedroom/sitting-room is wonderfully spacious with a high apex ceiling, a super comfortable super-king size bed and a sitting-area with satellite TV, meanwhile patio doors lead out to a private, fully enclosed garden.
There are restaurants, shops and galleries five miles away in Falmouth or Truro and the superb north coast surfing beaches are just 20 minutes by car.
The Emerald is an award-winning development, the only truly zero carbon holiday destination in the country having been awarded Code 6 status, the highest possible grading for eco efficiency. Within the five acres of shared grounds is a solar farm which generates all the energy The Emerald needs and more.
There are five hi-spec, super-insulated cedar-clad houses including detached Willow, Fern (2825) and its semi-detached mirror-image Cedar (2824) for couples, Coast (2822) and semi-detached neighbour Drift (2823) accommodating six. The properties (except The Gatehouse) are accessible for wheelchairs, with level thresholds, ground floor bedrooms and spacious showers, and all have access to the shared swimming pool and other facilities. Melody Farm (3327) is a fantastic family home and accommodates ten.
This is a great location from which to explore Cornwall, with quick access to good roads and both north and south coasts within easy reach. The creeks and gentle beaches of the Roseland peninsula can be reached via the King Harry Ferry; there are numerous renowned Cornish gardens to discover with Trelissick Gardens on the banks of the River Fal, Gendurgan and Trebah gardens in the Helford valley and famous Lost Gardens of Heligan near Mevagissey. There are superb surfing beaches and spectacular clifftop walks on the nearby north coast at Porthtowan, Portreath, Chapel Porth and St Agnes, with Perranporth and Newquay a little further away.
