7 miles NE of Looe / Sleeps 4 + cot

7 Nights from £389 - £894

Tregantle is a lovely cottage, the middle of a terrace of three, in the gorgeous rural grounds of Moor2Sea. Beautifully furnished and equipped, there are large French windows leading to your own paved patio with views across the stone wall to the countryside beyond. The Owners have retained the natural stone exteriors of the original barn but inside is a sleek modern decor. With a wood-burner ensuring cosy evenings in, oak-flooring, granite worktops and a bespoke oak dining-table, the open plan living-room is gorgeous. There are two very pretty bedrooms, one with en suite shower, and there is also a family bathroom; the twin room has an extra TV as well – a great cottage for two couples or a small family.

As you would expect there is WiFi, high quality equipment including crisp cotton linen and fluffy towels, as well as a travel cot and high chair if required. Found in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty known as the Tamar Valley, this is such a tranquil spot with so much to do within easy reach. For cyclists there are numerous cycle tracks nearby with trails to suit all abilities and for anglers there are ponds, rivers and of course sea fishing available in Looe. Your dog is very welcome however please keep it on a lead in the grounds and do not leave it unattended in the cottage. A scrumptious Cornish cream tea greets all guests on arrival and a basket of logs awaits the match as you settle into the cottage. Another bonus is secure alarmed storage for bikes, fishing tackle, golf bags and even an extra freezer should you wish to save the catch of the day. All of this is in an outbuilding known as Oscar's (shared with other guests staying in Hendre Cottage (2871), Rame (2872) and Whitsand (2874). The local pub, The Rod and Line, serves good food, all sourced locally, including freshly caught fish and crab; often there is a live band playing.
