9.3 miles NE of Honiton / Sleeps 6 + cot*

7 Nights from £542 - £1485

This luxury period farmhouse in the Blackdown Hills, with wonderful garden hot tub, is in an idyllic rural setting on the edge of the village of Bishopswood, within walking distance of the Candlelight Inn, and an easy drive from Dorset’s Jurassic Coast at Lyme Regis. The traditional character of Woodend Farm is intact but a contemporary designer kitchen and bathroom have added extra style. This gorgeous, historic house has a huge fireplace in the sitting-room with a French-style wood-burner and a grate for an open fire in the original range in the dining-room. In keeping with its age, there are some low door lintels, steep stairs (with handrails) and low window sills upstairs.

One of the great delights here is the large south-facing garden, not only for the hot tub but also with a barbecue and outside seating for wonderful al fresco meals. Right next to the garden is a lovely large meadow which you are all welcome to enjoy, four-legged friends included. Beyond the meadow the views stretch right across the valley beyond. If you would like to book the property next door, The Cow Shed (3198), this has a wonderful dining-table for 14 people. Whether for a memorable family holiday or a celebration with friends, this is the place to be!
