DoubleNanpusker Pump House is a mellow-stoned, delightful family home set in a secluded wooded valley just minutes by car from Hayle’s gloriously long, sandy beaches.
Formerly supplying water to the area’s tin and copper mine this fabulous cottage has a huge sunny garden, where the focal point is a fabulous hot tub on the raised deck outside the summer-house. The property is located at the end of a long private drive, which passes four picturesque fishing lodges and lakes (let privately by the nearby owners). Inside, original features preserve the building’s character and all three floors, with various steps leading to the different levels, overlook the garden. Outside the first floor living-room is a sun-drenched balcony with lovely views across the surrounding countryside.
The spacious living-room, on the middle of the three floors, has surround sound television, a wood-burner and French doors opening onto the balcony, which has steps to both the upper seating-area and down to the garden. The large, light-filled en suite main bedroom is on the top floor, and the bedrooms downstairs include one with a comfy leather armchair – ideal either as a playroom or single bedroom, offering versatility for the six guests the cottage accommodates.
Nanpusker Pump House is well situated for exploring this beautiful part of Cornwall; the coast path and the surfing beaches of the north coast are close by, while the galleries, shops and restaurants of St Ives are only a short drive away.
For shopping and amenities Hayle is only a few moments by car, where a stroll along the tidal river estuary, a swim in the (seasonal) open-air Lido or a day on the vast sandy beach will keep everyone entertained.
