A gorgeous and contemporary split-level house tucked in away in a peaceful cul-de-sac, this property has been furnished and appointed to an exemplary standard. Set over four floors, beautifully decorated in coastal tones of blues and greens and Cornish artwork on the walls, Coastal Retreat really lives up to its name. With Swanpool Beach and its cafe, watersports centre and bistro only a short stroll away this is a fabulous location. Falmouth golf course is across the road, while beaches at Gyllyngvase (Blue Flag) and Maenporth, and the nearby coastal footpaths, all have stunning views of Falmouth Bay.

Coastal Retreat has a light-filled entrance hall and extra wide stairs leading down to the open plan living-room, with a fully equipped kitchen-area and patio doors opening onto a long balcony with glimpses of the sea. The floor below has a 'zip and link' bedroom with its own sitting-area, a family bathroom and a large utility-room with an all important wine fridge and drink-making facilities, perfect when barbecuing and eating outdoors. The enclosed gravelled courtyard has patio areas which catch the sun throughout the day, so it is as great a place for lunch as it is for an evening meal.

On the first floor is the master bedroom with its en suite shower-room, and a useful study for essential work or children's games on the PlayStation. A further double bedroom, equally well appointed, is on the floor above. Each bedroom also has the home comfort of a TV/DVD player and superfast Wi-Fi is available throughout the house.

This is an excellent location to enjoy spending a day on the beach, sailing, walking, playing golf, visiting exotic gardens or exploring Falmouth and all its amenities. Exploring further afield is easy too; ferries sail from Falmouth to Flushing, Truro, St Mawes and the Helford River. There are lovely gardens at Trebah and Glendurgan in the Helford valley and more at Trelissick, near Truro, and The Lost Gardens of Heligan to the east. The superb surfing beaches and dramatic coastline of the north coast are just 45 minutes away and the Eden Project is an hour's drive, so there is much to see within a very short distance. Coastal Retreat is a wonderful holiday base for families and is also available to parties of four or less at a lower rental price out of the main season.
