Set over four floors, beautifully decorated in coastal tones of blues and greens and Cornish artwork on the walls, Coastal Retreat really lives up to its name. With Swanpool Beach and its cafe, watersports centre and bistro only a short stroll away, this fabulous location really is perfect. Falmouth golf course is just across the road, while beaches at Gyllyngvase (Blue Flag) and Maenporth, and the nearby coastal footpaths, all have stunning views of Falmouth Bay and are within easy reach of the property.
Up to two children under the age of 14 are accepted at Coastal Retreat.
Coastal Retreat has a light-filled entrance hall and extra wide stairs leading down to the open plan living-room, with a fully equipped kitchen-area and patio doors opening onto a long balcony with glimpses of the sea. The bedroom on the lower ground floor is filled with light, with patio doors that open straight onto the terrace, this bedroom has a 'zip and link' beds for flexible accommodation. There is also a family bathroom and large utility-room which also opens directly onto the terrace with an all-important wine fridge and drink-making facilities, perfect when barbecuing and eating outdoors.
The enclosed gravelled courtyard has patio areas which catch the sun throughout the day, so it is as great a place for lunch as it is for an evening meal.
On the first floor is the main bedroom with its en suite shower-room, and a useful study - perfect for essential work or perhaps a game of something on the PlayStation. A further double bedroom, equally well appointed, is on the floor above. Each bedroom also has the home comfort of a TV to watch your favourite show in bed and superfast WiFi is available throughout the house.
This is an excellent location to enjoy spending a day on the beach, sailing, walking, playing golf, visiting exotic gardens or exploring Falmouth and all its amenities. Exploring further afield is easy too; ferries sail from Falmouth to Flushing, Truro, St Mawes and the Helford River. There are lovely gardens at Trebah and Glendurgan in the Helford valley and more at Trelissick, near Truro, with The Lost Gardens of Heligan to the east. The superb surfing beaches and dramatic coastline of the north coast are just 45 minutes away and the Eden Project is an hour's drive, so there is much to see within a very short distance.
