Meadows is a truly delightful stone-built barn now lovingly converted into a gorgeous holiday cottage. The open plan living-room is the sociable hub of the house, where floor to ceiling windows frame far reaching countryside views and allow light to flood in. Central heating, a big wood-burner and double-glazing mean Meadows is toasty warm whatever the weather, so perfect for chillier summer days or winter breaks. Solid oak furniture, floors and doors together with attractive linens and soft furnishings all add to the general 'feel-good' factor of this welcoming cottage. Seaton and Downderry beaches are within a couple of miles, great for swimming, rock-pooling, sailing and even surfing. The coastal footpath offers spectacular views, and there are gardens and parkland to explore nearby.

Leafy lanes lead to Higher Treyone where Meadows is found. The lovely Owners offer outstanding hospitality and provide their guests with a freshly baked cream tea, cider and apple juice on arrival. Furnished to an exceptional standard and providing impressive levels of accommodation, Meadows has cream leather sofas facing the wood-burner and a vintage pine dresser which enhances the fully equipped kitchen and dining areas. Two bedrooms - one en suite - and a fully appointed bathroom are on the ground floor while a third huge bedroom upstairs has its own en suite shower-room and separate sitting and dressing areas (this floor is not available at the discounted rate). Meadows has its own private patio, and guests are also welcome to relax in the Owners' orchard and large rear lawned garden. Looe and Polperro are within easy reach, as are the picturesque twin villages of Kingsand and Cawsand with their narrow streets, jumbled cottages, pubs and shops. Napoleonic Polhawn Fort looks down over Whitsand Bay where the sandy beach is worth the climb down the steep cliffside paths. Meadows can be booked by four or less people at a discounted rate using the ground floor only, making it perfect for those with limited mobility. Meadows is equipped to a high standard and Ecover washing up liquid, washing tablets, dishwasher tablets, paper towel, cling film, foil, loo rolls and soap, as well as plenty of books, games and puzzles, are provided – so there is very little you need to bring from home.
