Mousehole / Sleeps 2 + cot

7 Nights from £272 - £681

The Net Loft is set in the heart of Mousehole, originally a fisherman's net loft it then became an artist's studio. It is located up a pedestrian alley, a minute from the harbour and is entered through the shared cobbled courtyard. The bedroom on the ground floor has an en suite wet-room with under-floor heating and a double bed with a pocket sprung mattress. Stairs lead up to the first floor open plan living-room, which is light and airy with a solid maple floor, the perfect place to cook up a romantic meal for two or simply sit back and unwind. From here, steep narrow stairs lead up to a mezzanine snug furnished with a day bed, books and games, ideal for relaxing come rain or shine. You will be greeted with complimentary fresh flowers, freshly laundered bedding and towels, Cornish cookies, organic milk, ground coffee and English or Earl Grey tea.

The bedroom has a solid pine floor, reclaimed timber cupboards and a recycled wooden rope reel as a bedside table, there is also under-stair storage for suitcases/bags. The first floor has an open vaulted ceiling and the living space is open plan with a comfortable sofa for two, as well as an extendable dining-table and two traditional wooden seats. Fresh flowers, codes to the WiFi, and local information will be on the table when you arrive. There is a new curved Smart TV and a wireless speaker if you need to connect your phone or tablet. Under the TV you can find a selection of games and more storage. Next to the TV unit there is an interesting selection of books about the local area, walking, arts, etc. The kitchen is fairly well-equipped to cook a meal, and there is an espresso machine for coffee lovers, a slow cooker and a secret wine rack built into the kitchen unit. Please take care when climbing the narrow stairs to the mezzanine snug, where you can relax, read, stare up at the clouds or stars through the window, or peer out at the sea glimpses over the rooftops.
