The first floor apartment, at the front left-hand end of the main house, is reached by stone steps edged with climbing shrubs, sadly making the property unsuitable for children or the elderly. Inside, an attractive open plan living-room has steps to a pretty bedroom (can be either double or twin) and a shower-room. The colourful gardens at Bulleigh Barton Manor include a raised garden solely for guests. The manor is set in a sheltered valley with views over rolling countryside and, to cap it all, there is an unheated outdoor pool for a brisk early morning length or a leisurely swim on a summer’s evening. The Owners live in the main house (guests are quite private) and are on hand to recommend all that is worth exploring in this lovely part of south Devon and also provide a laundry service if required.
