Number Twenty Eight

If you were looking for cottages like Number Twenty Eight, how about trying these:

Part of a centuries-old building in the centre of the fishing village of Mevagissey, this quirky first floor property has oodles of character. Steep stairs, sloping walls, low beams (very low in places, beware!) and sash windows show the longevity of this delightful cottage, sympathetically updated to offer en suite facilities, broadband access and central heating. The harbour front is just yards away, where the fishing fleet rests between forays out to sea. Narrow streets, ancient pubs and an eclectic mix of shops and eating places are found around the harbour, where you can often see the day’s catch being unloaded. Three single bedrooms, one with a 4’6” bed and one sharing an en suite shower-room with the double bedroom, provide comfortable accommodation, while the open plan living-room has an ornamental fireplace (the wood-burner is regrettably not operational), a spacious kitchen and small tucked-away dining-area. A low-beamed attic room (accessed via very steep stairs so please supervise children) with beanbags, books and games provides additional space to relax, but always remember the restricted head height!
