A half-mile from the charming village of Shaldon, Church Hill Cottage sits on the estuary road leading from Shaldon to Ringmore. There is a slipway nearby with access to the foreshore at low water; alternatively walk back to the village and on to the beach. The cottage, on three floors and opening on to the road, has an open plan living-room and a sun-room leading out to an enclosed patio. On the first floor is the family bathroom and an en suite bedroom with ‘zip and link’ beds, and upstairs is another en suite bedroom, with a sloping ceiling.
Just right for a small family or couples and the family dog, this lovely cottage is perfectly placed for exploring this fabulous area by car. Or why not take the ferry from Shaldon across to Teignmouth? If you're lucky, you might spot a cormorant, or perhaps the friendly grey seal who is often seen in the estuary.
