Westlake Barn is a spacious and high quality barn conversion at this friendly farmstead. There is a very private enclosed garden at the back.
There is a very sunny and sheltered patio and lawned garden area behind the barn, with direct access into it on the level.

On the ground floor there is a wonderful games room for guests to enjoy. There is even a little honesty bar ! The utility room is next door to this games room.
Four-legged friends are most welcome here. These are the alternative, stone steps,  that lead up the side of the barn to the garden.
The barn has retained some of its original character as well as being a lovely contemporary space.

Both bedrooms have their own mirror image en-suite shower rooms.
There is a pretty ornamental pond in front of the barn - the steps up to the accommodation are in the background but there are stone steps at the side of the barn too.
We hope you won't have any rainy days but you are well provided for it you do.
The stone steps up the side of the barn lead to your enclosed garden. A useful option but do take care as the steps can be slippery if wet. They are shallow and wide but there is no handrail.
After a short stretch of farm track you come into the farmyard via the gate you can see in this photograph.
This is Wimbleball Lake on Exmoor. A lovely outing with walks, watersports and a tea shop.
There is easy access from Westlake Barn along the North Devon Link Road to the amazing north Devon beaches.
The Mason's Arms at Knowstone is a renowned award-winning local pub with an excellent reputation.

Westlake Barn is in a lovely rural setting, within easy reach of the popular market town of Dulverton, at the heart of Exmoor National Park, as well as the wide sandy surfing beaches of north Devon. This location offers real variety for great days out for guests and their four-legged friends. The first floor accommodation offers a touch of luxury with a high specification, contemporary design, a sleek, well-equipped kitchn, large open plan living area, full under-floor heating throughout, two en suite bedrooms and below, a games-room with a bar! This traditional farm building has been converted into a top quality holiday base, with its own sheltered and very private enclosed garden to the rear, at the top end of the original farmstead for Westlake House, the Owners' home. If your dog is unsure of the exterior staircase there is a flight of stone garden steps to the side of the barn that lead to Westlake Barn's private garden and back door.

The barn is approached along a short length of farm track, which is shared with the existing working farm here. A flight of external steps lead up from the parking-area to the open plan living space where a high beamed ceiling creates a light-filled but characterful social space at the heart of the property. Dogs are very welcome here and there are plenty of local walks and, of course, Exmoor National Park just a few miles away with all the open space you could want. Out-of-season the north Devon beaches are fabulous places for exhilarating walks, whatever the time of year, and the North Devon Link Road offers an easy route straight up to the coast.
