Westlake Barn is in a lovely rural setting, within easy reach of the popular market town of Dulverton, at the heart of Exmoor National Park, as well as the wide sandy surfing beaches of north Devon. This location offers real variety for great days out for guests and their four-legged friends.
The first floor accommodation offers a touch of luxury with a high specification, contemporary design, a sleek, well-equipped kitchen, large open plan living-area, full under-floor heating throughout, two en suite bedrooms and below, a games-room with a bar! This traditional farm building has been converted into a top quality holiday base, with its own sheltered and very private enclosed garden to the rear, at the top end of the original farmstead for Westlake House, the owners' home.
If your dog is unsure of the exterior staircase there is a flight of stone garden steps to the side of the barn that lead to Westlake Barn's private garden and back door.
The barn is approached along a short length of farm track, which is shared with the existing working farm here. A flight of external steps lead up from the parking-area to the open plan living space where a high beamed ceiling creates a light-filled but characterful social space at the heart of the property.
Dogs are very welcome here and there are plenty of local walks and, of course, Exmoor National Park just a few miles away with all the open space you could want. Out-of-season the north Devon beaches are fabulous places for exhilarating walks, whatever the time of year, and the North Devon Link Road offers an easy route straight up to the coast.
