This stunning detached cottage is close to Exmoor and is an easy drive to north Devon’s surfing beaches. The Barn at Mornacott Farm offers unspoilt countryside views, lovely walks and special farm trails, private river fishing, clay-pigeon shooting, facilities for guests’ own horses, and even wildlife ‘safaris’. The spacious open plan kitchen/dining-room has a large galleried landing above and the sitting-room opens directly out onto the terrace. The first floor bedrooms are exceptionally large with oak floorboards and luxurious traditional rugs. The open garden has decorative stone walls and is designed to make the most of the views – please always supervise small children. The hens on this friendly farm provide fresh free-range eggs, and the traditional Devon Ruby Red cattle and two resident Highland cattle (Rum and Islay) complete the rural idyll. The Owners welcome children to experience the farm – they can collect eggs and help feed cattle under supervision. The cottage has the benefit of a lovely fresh private water supply (this is regularly tested).
