Casa Marinero

6.4 miles SE of Kingsbridge / Sleeps 4 (no children under 16)

7 Nights from £367 - £798

This truly is a quirky cottage, perched (and we mean perched) on top of a cliff with the front door only a couple of metres from the edge. Casa Marinero offers 180 degree views of the stunning coastline and the sweep of the Start Point lighthouse illuminates the sea at night. Lovely though it is, this terraced cottage is only suitable for reasonably fit adults as it's a steep climb up from the car park. The open plan living-room has been furnished with a seaside theme in simple pastels. There is a ground floor bathroom, and a small patio to the rear. You can enjoy the marvellous views with an early morning cuppa, on the bench just outside the front door.

Ideal for walking enthusiasts, the coastal path runs just behind the cottage. Alternatively, the lovely towns of Dartmouth and Kingsbridge are just a short drive away, both well worth exploring as they are full of quirky shops, welcoming cafes and one or two excellent restaurants. Talking of good food, you can enjoy a bracing walk along the cliffs towards Beesands where you can sample freshly caught crab at The Britannia Cafe or enjoy a slap up meal in The Cricket Inn pub.
