With a bird’s eye view of Mullion Island, the National Trust bird sanctuary just outside the harbour where seabirds return to roost each evening, detached Nantivet enjoys a superlative location at the end of a private No Through Road high up on the hillside above picturesque Mullion Cove. Single-storey, with a large patio perfect for taking in the breathtaking scenery, Nantivet has a beautifully planted south-facing terraced garden landscaped into the steep contours of the valley. Inside, the spacious light-filled sitting/dining-room has magnificent sea views and a big, highly efficient wood-burner and the adjoining kitchen leads through to the utility-room and fabulous wet-room. The en suite master bedroom also enjoys wonderful views, its big picture window looking towards the harbour.
The coastal footpath beyond the garden gate leads in one direction to Polurrian’s sandy beach (just a 15 minute stroll there, but a little longer for the uphill walk back!), and in the other to dramatic Kynance Cove and Lizard Point. The renowned Mullion Cove Hotel is within easy walking distance, and Mullion’s shops, pubs and restaurants are only a couple of minutes’ drive away.
