This beautifully furnished, detached barn rests in the heart of east Devon's Blackdown Hills, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and a short distance inland from the Jurassic Coast. The patio behind the cottage has a wonderful rose garden border, and a two acre orchard offering complete privacy and peace.
Enjoy a further 13 acres of woodland, pastures and a little meandering stream just across the lane. The Old Dairy lies in unspoilt countryside along a network of country lanes, perfect for escaping a fast-paced everyday life. The cottage has single-storey accommodation, with some helpful accessible features and under-floor heating throughout. The cottage is tucked behind the owners' historic listed farmhouse but you will feel very private.
The Old Dairy is only a short drive from the market town of Honiton – renowned for its antiques shops – and beyond it is the spectacular Jurassic Coast – where you can visit the gorgeous seaside towns and villages of Budleigh Salterton, Sidmouth, Branscombe, Beer and Lyme Regis, just over the border into Dorset.
This is also wonderful walking country, with plenty of footpaths and country lanes waiting for you to discover them.
The Owners offer a warm welcome and have a wealth of information about this very special area and will be able to set you off in the right direction. You are spoilt for choice with lovely local pubs too – a treat after a day out – try the Catherine Wheel at Hemyock, The Ashill Arms or the Culm Valley Inn.
