Once a mine chaplain's dwelling but now a light-filled, spacious contemporary home, detached Scott's Cottage lies a short drive from picturesque Porthleven. At the end of an unmade lane, which turns into a footpath ideal for exploring locally on foot, the cottage enjoys a tranquil rural setting in an area rich in Cornish mining history with several iconic chimney stacks nearby, and only the Owners as near neighbours. Huge folding glass doors lead from the south-facing gravelled garden into the sunny living-room, whilst there is no telephone line, 3G/4G GSM WiFi is provided so that you can check your emails and post Facebook updates, search and browse to your heart's content, maybe planning where to eat or visit tomorrow.

Upstairs are three bedrooms off a galleried landing, the double featuring a balcony with countryside views. The fourth bedroom, in the detached annexe, has an en suite wet-room. The cottage's secluded location is quite private from the neighbouring Owners, who breed miniature Shetland ponies. The peace and quiet will soon relax you as the stresses of everyday life fall away, and you will be ready to explore the wonderful sandy beaches and hidden coves along this lovely part of the south coast – just a short car journey away, and all linked by the spectacular clifftop coastal footpaths.
