An ancient studded door leads upstairs to the pretty bedrooms, which have panoramic countryside views. Outside, the private patio, large garden, paddock and wildlife area with a pond all have stunning sweeping views to the Blackdown Hills. This tastefully restored cottage, adjoining the Owners' Grade II Listed 16th Century Devon longhouse, is a wonderful mix of character and contemporary style.
The cottage is on the edge of the National Trust’s Killerton Estate, where 800 acres of woodland are ideal for walkers and cyclists. The Cathedral City of Exeter, the antique shops of Honiton, east Devon's wonderful beaches along the Jurassic Coast – Sidmouth, Budleigh Salterton, Branscombe and Beer – and Exmoor and Dartmoor are all within an easy drive for a fabulous day out.

This is the same room when it has been prepared as a twin room for guests. Just let the owner know what you prefer and it will be set up as you wish.
The twin beds are comfy 3ft singles so great for adults as well as for children.
Even the landing is an attractive feature. For a very old cottage the interior is deceptively spacious.
The old panelling in the kitchen area is used to great effect.
The owners' passion for collecting interesting artefacts and artwork has been put to good use throughout the cottage.
Legars Cottage is full of character and history and has the most amazing views.
The patio enjoys sunshine throughout the day and is very private as it is to the side of the cottage.
Your own doorstep garden adds to the welcome when you arrive.
