Shepherd's Crook is a gorgeously converted barn in a wonderfully tranquil countryside setting with sweeping views across fields dotted with cows and sheep. Centrally located and just a 10 minute drive from the pretty Cathedral City of Truro, fabulous surfing beaches like Perranporth and Newquay on the north coast and the calm waters and sandy beaches of the south coast are all within easy reach. With a ground floor bedroom and en suite wet-room, the cottage is ideal for less mobile guests and its spaciousness makes it perfect for families. Children will love meeting Truffle the family Labrador and Bear and Jilly the ponies who all live happily with the Owners on this family-run farm.

Shepherd's Crook has a wonderfully contemporary interior with high quality furnishings and attractive linens. The ramped entrance and ground floor double bedroom with en suite wet-room are ideal for less mobile guests and, offering seclusion and privacy from the bedrooms upstairs, this bedroom is also great for couples or grandparents who may want to enjoy a lie-in! There is a big kitchen/breakfast-room with plenty of space for even the most enthusiastic cooks, and the oak-floored sitting-room has generous leather sofas, a wood-burner to ward off unseasonal chills and doors out to the large raised deck with great views over fields and surrounding countryside. Upstairs, both bedrooms have en suite facilities, lovely reclaimed oak furniture and thoughtfully chosen fabrics. There is a big lawn where children can play, and Guinea fowl wander freely, their tiny chirping calls a delight to hear. This is a truly delightful and superbly comfortable holiday cottage and with Harvesters Keep (2209) next door, larger families or groups of friends can easily holiday together. With three generations of this traditional farming family on site, there is usually someone to show you around and introduce you to the animals and in springtime children can often help feed the lambs. There is easy access to good roads so exploring both coasts and the far reaches of the county is easy to do and coming back to this lovely setting at the end of each day's exploring will be a pleasure.
