Closer to the cottage, the village of Iddesleigh is home to the Duke of York pub, made famous by War Horse. Local market towns such as Hatherleigh are ideal to stock up on provisions. The Tarka Line is a great alternative to a day driving – catch this local line at Eggesford Junction and head up to the coast or to the Cathedral City of Exeter.
