Brandywine House
2053 is no longer with usIf you were looking for cottages like Brandywine House, how about trying these:
Grade II Listed Brandywine House offers fascinating glimpses into Brixham’s history as an old fishing port. Originally an inn, the haunt of smugglers and fishermen, it is set in a quiet cul-de-sac one street back from the bustling quay and shops (see photograph), providing a place to relax with the convenience of a central location. Spread over three floors, it is a stylish terraced house with a large deck, ideal for al fresco dining, and two bathrooms, making this a popular house with mixed generation families. The first floor sitting/dining-room is airy and welcoming and the top floor master bedroom is a real treat with a four-poster bed and views over rooftops towards the harbour. Whatever the season, there are many things to do – exploring steeply winding narrow streets, coastal cliff walks, beach outings with rock pooling, tossing pebbles or building sandcastles, crabbing from the harbour steps or relaxing in the free open-air salt-water public pool (or the heated indoor alternative). This is the perfect cottage to return to after a day exploring gorgeous south Devon. The approach to the cottage is a little complicated, through narrow streets, so guests must contact the Owner before arrival.
