SingleWelcome to Cherry Orchard, a traditional holiday abode with panoramic views towards Mounts Bay, perched above the charming Cornish fishing village of Mousehole and perfect for families or groups of friends looking for a Cornish getaway.
In an ideal location close to the coast road and cliff path to beautiful Lamorna Cove, Cherry Orchard is located at the top of a steep hill with the added luxury of private parking for two cars and easy access to the delights of West Cornwall.
From the moment you arrive you will be captivated by the view. A footpath leads to the front door and cosy interiors of the ground floor. The spacious sitting-room is light filled thanks to dual aspect windows which take full advantage of the fabulous sea views. A separate dining-room has a stunning view, the perfect place to gather everyone to chat about the adventures of the day. In the shaker style kitchen, you will find all the equipment you'll need to cook a holiday meal and a separate utility-room is home to the fridge/freezer, washing machine and tumble drier. A handy shower-room on the ground floor is ideal for rinsing salty toes after a beach day.
Climb the stairs to the first floor to the four pretty bedrooms and family bathroom. Bedroom one has dual aspect windows to make the most of the fabulous views and a double bed for a restful night. Bedrooms two and three are twin bedded rooms, ideal for either children or adults and bedroom four is a single bedded room. The family bathroom has a bath with shower attachment, perfect for a long soak after a busy day.
Outside the terraced garden is boarded by a natural hedge where you can dine al fresco and take in the fabulous views from dawn until dusk. There is a small pond so please take care with young children. With Mousehole on the doorstep and the delights of West Cornwall close by, this is a fabulous location for a Cornish getaway.
Mousehole is an utterly charming harbourside village, steeped in history and pretty as a picture. With a good selection of eateries, galleries and traditional shops you may decide to stay local and never take your car out and with so many wonderful walks from your door you won't be short of places to discover.
If you do explore further afield head along the coast towards stunning Lamorna Cove or perhaps Porthcurno beach, overlooked by the majestic Minack Theatre where you can watch plays and musicals with the mighty Atlantic as a backdrop (book ahead, it's a popular spot!). Head east and stop at the pretty fishing town of Newlyn with a great selection of cafes, restaurants and galleries. Further along the coast but still not far away, the iconic St Michael's Mount makes for a great day out where you can walk along the causeway at low tide and catch the ferryboat when the tide is high.
Surfers should head for the north coast and for Atlantic rollers at their best try Sennen, St Ives and Gwithian. Artists have been attracted to the effervescent light of St Ives for centuries and today you will find a vibrant seaside town with characterful cobbled streets, a picturesque harbour and several gorgeous beaches.
However you plan to spend your blissful holiday days, Cherry Orchard is the perfect base for a Cornish holiday.
