You cannot get nearer to the action than this stunning second floor apartment overlooking the harbour in the middle of bustling Falmouth. The ever-changing street scene below and the spectacular views over the top of the Falmouth Sailing School to the harbour and docks beyond are compulsive viewing (see photograph), so boredom is not an option when you stay at Carrick View! Part of a Georgian house, Carrick View offers the high ceilings, large windows and light-filled rooms synonymous with that elegant age, now combined with all the modern conveniences you could possibly desire, including free WiFi access. Decorated in neutral colours, the large sitting/dining-room has stylish leather sofas while the well-equipped kitchen is a delight. The bedrooms overlook the rear security-gated parking-area, making them surprisingly quiet at night. With the National Maritime Museum Cornwall and good wine bars and restaurants close by, and sandy beaches within half a mile’s walk, you can even enjoy a car-free holiday. Ferries and river boats run to Flushing, St Mawes, Truro and the Helford River, as well as the renowned National Trust gardens of Trelissick and Glendurgan and the privately owned gardens at Trebah.
