The Merry Maiden

If you were looking for cottages like The Merry Maiden, how about trying these:

As the name suggests this detached, reversed level barn conversion lies close to the ancient ring of 19 standing stones called the Merry Maidens, each supposedly a young girl turned to stone for dancing on the Sabbath – and its spacious first floor balcony has views towards them. Steep granite steps lead from the enclosed garden up to the first floor entrance and open plan living-room. From here stairs descend to the bedrooms and bathroom. With two other cottages as your only neighbours in this idyllic, tranquil setting, guests will enjoy the Owner’s extensive grounds and private lakes – where you may be lucky enough to catch a glimpse of a kingfisher, or even an otter!
