This beautifully presented modern holiday cottage looks out over lawns and mature woodland, a peaceful location but close to the indoor Leisure Centre, tennis courts and children’s play-area at the private Maenporth Estate.
Woodland View is a very well-equipped home-from-home, with reverse accommodation, so the bedrooms are on the entrance level and the living accommodation is downstairs on the lower ground floor. There are two spacious bedrooms, a family bathroom and a separate shower-room upstairs, while the open plan living-room leads to a south-facing conservatory which looks out over the patio and lawns to the woods beyond.
The sandy beach just down the hill is perfect for swimming and sandcastle building with rock pools to explore at low tide.
Sandy Maenporth cove is ideal for families and the modern holiday cottages at private Maenporth Estate are set on the hill above the cove, spread throughout 29 acres of beautifully landscaped grounds. The centrally-located Leisure Centre (open all year except Christmas Day) has a heated swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna, table-tennis and pool tables, all free for guests to use, together with a communal barbecue-area, two all-weather tennis courts and a children’s play-area.
The sheltered cove with its sandy beach is a short stroll down the hill but, if you have lots of kit or toddlers who might find the walk back up the hill tiring, you can park on the beach. Wildlife is plentiful with birds, squirrels and occasionally deer attracted by the landscaped grounds and woodland.
Set just outside the thriving maritime town of Falmouth, there are coastal footpaths and tree-lined creeks nearby and sailing, canoeing and diving lessons available locally.
You can walk along the cliffs from Maenporth past sandy beaches at Swanpool and Gyllyngvase and on into historic Falmouth, where there is plenty to explore.
There are renowned gardens at Trebah and Glendurgan on the banks of the Helford River, and the north coast surfing beaches are only a 45 minute drive away.
Boats and dinghies are welcome on site but commercial and camper vans are regretfully not permitted.
