Chy-an-Mor

1623

1.1 miles S of St Ives / Sleeps 8 + cot

7 Nights from £745 - £2259

Step outside the sitting-room onto the magnificent decked terrace – take in the fabulous sea views stretching from Hayle Towans to beyond Godrevy Lighthouse. A spacious, contemporary house within walking distance of Carbis Bay beach, detached Chy-an-Mor has a short steep driveway and steps up to the entrance. As you climb the steps and cross the threshold, you know that this will be your perfect holiday retreat. Patio doors lead from the kitchen/dining-room to the enclosed terraced garden and raised sun decks, the ideal spot to relax and enjoy a glass of wine watching the ever-changing seas. Two bedrooms are downstairs; up an open-tread wooden staircase are the luxurious en suite master and a twin bedroom with an additional sitting-area.

The fabulous decked terrace is what really sets this house apart. In fact you may be tempted not to stray very far from this exceedingly comfortable, beautifully presented house other than for a day's sunbathing on the beach – but if you do decide to venture out and about, Chy-an-Mor is within easy walking distance of the shops, restaurants, bars and galleries of St Ives, and the rest of the Penwith peninsula is easily accessible by car. If you would like to try your hand at kneading some dough, the Owner runs a small artisan bakery on the Lizard and offers Introduction to Breadmaking courses (available by arrangement, at cost).
