Little Oak Barn is a truly rural retreat, ideal for exploring both Cornish coasts and surrounding countryside. Fowey, a favourite haunt of Daphne du Maurier, is a short drive away and the Eden Project is close. Found down country lanes, the cottage has lovely views and the only neighbours are the Owners, who have 10 acres and keep horses, two dogs and several friendly cats. The cottage has a pretty enclosed garden and inside, the attractive sitting-room has comfy sofas and a wood-burner. The kitchen/diner is very well-equipped and downstairs are the bedroom and shower-room. Little Oak Barn's peaceful location gives you the chance to relax, sleep well and unwind.
The south Cornish coast has something for everyone, with exhilarating clifftop walks, sandy beaches and rocky coves and busy little towns and villages. As well as Fowey, Polperro is worth a visit and further afield Mevagissey is just as interesting. There are one or two lovely National Trust houses and gardens within easy reach, Lanhydrock being a particular favourite in the spring with its blazing displays of camellias and rhododendrons. The Lost Gardens of Heligan are fascinating whatever the season and again can be easily reached by car. Altogether this delightful cottage is ideal for exploring all over the county; even the north coast is not that much of a distance.
