Approached by an elegant drive, Trewidden House is a prestigious country house of classic proportions, belonging to the Bolitho family. Impressive in stature and position, this exceptional 19th Century house faces south and is set within majestic grounds, a short distance from the Cornish coast in an area of dramatic coastlines and glorious beaches. Throughout the house the history of the Bolitho family and their love of Cornwall is apparent; guests will be delighted with the comfort and warm welcome that this lovely property offers. The impressive great hall leads to the drawing-room, which is furnished with beautiful antiques and striking furniture. Next door, guests will adore the sitting-room which offers a place to rest in front of an open fire, and enjoy the views out across the large garden to the sea. Adjacent to the kitchen/breakfast-room, the formal dining-room, panelled in tulipwood and bedecked with ancestral pictures, provides the perfect backdrop for hosting wonderful dinner parties. Upstairs, the elegantly furnished and spacious bedrooms are charming, as are the bathrooms, some of which boast enviable views. The Owner has thoughtfully provided a cleaning service for most days from Monday to Friday between 10am and 1pm. Once the house and the surrounding gardens have been explored, the Estate’s formal gardens next door, designed by Thomas Bolitho in the 1880s, offer a unique glimpse into the horticultural world of rare camellias and exotic plants. Guests also have the use of the hard tennis court. This unique and fabulous home, coupled with the exceptional facilities, provides the perfect retreat for anyone looking for a very special holiday – and this will be a holiday to remember.
