Rosemary Cottage is a modern semi-detached property close to the Leisure Centre at Maenporth so the swimming pool, tennis courts and children's play-area are just a short stroll away. This light-filled, family-friendly cottage has an open plan living-room with floor to ceiling windows looking out over the patio to distant views of the sea, and with three bedrooms provides excellent accommodation for larger families. With cottages spread throughout 29 acres of beautifully landscaped woodland grounds, this is a wonderful holiday location. Sandy Maenporth beach is a short stroll down the hill and safe for paddling, swimming and rock pooling at low tide, with a lovely beach cafe providing delicious treats and water-sports tuition available from the beach.
Rosemary Cottage is ideal as a holiday base, part of the renowned Maenporth Estate. The Estate's cottages are spread out around an indoor Leisure Centre open all year except Christmas Day, with a heated swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna, table-tennis and pool tables, all free for guests to use. Outside is a communal barbecue-area, two all-weather tennis courts and a children's play-area. The cottages offer accommodation of varying sizes, each having a different outlook over the grounds. Rosemary Cottage has sociable open plan accommodation downstairs while upstairs, the double bedroom has its own television and an en suite shower-room with the twin bedroom and cosy bunk-room sharing the family bathroom. There is a cloakroom downstairs with a washing machine and tumble-drier, ideal for drying towels after visiting the pool or beach. Wildlife is plentiful with birds, squirrels and occasionally deer attracted by the landscaped grounds and woodland. Set just outside the thriving maritime town of Falmouth there are coastal footpaths and tree-lined creeks nearby and sailing, canoeing and diving lessons available locally. You can walk along the cliffs from Maenporth past sandy beaches at Swanpool and Gyllyngvase and on into historic Falmouth, where there is plenty to explore. There are renowned gardens at Trebah and Glendurgan on the banks of the Helford River, and the north coast surfing beaches are only a 45 minute drive away. Boats and dinghies are welcome on site but commercial and camper vans are regretfully not permitted.
