Beach Walk is a modern single-storey L-shaped holiday cottage set in the corner of a small terrace of similar cottages, close to the indoor Leisure Centre on the private Maenporth Estate. The children's play-area, tennis courts and sandy Maenporth beach are just a short walk away, set amid beautifully landscaped, woodland grounds. This light-filled property has high ceilings, comfortable sofas and chunky wooden furniture, perfect for families and couples alike, and unlimited superfast broadband will keep everyone happy. The sheltered cove with its sandy beach is a short stroll down the hill, safe for swimming and with rock pools to explore at low tide. Please note, there are 26 shallow steps down to the cottage from the parking-area.
Sandy Maenporth cove is ideal for families and these impeccably maintained modern holiday cottages are spread throughout 29 acres of beautifully landscaped grounds. The centrally-located Leisure Centre (open all year except Christmas Day) with heated swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna, table-tennis and pool tables, are all free for guests to use, together with a communal barbecue-area, two all-weather tennis courts and a children's play-area. The Leisure Centre can arrange daily delivery of newspapers and breakfast supplies, and carries a small range of frozen meals, ice creams and food gifts, all locally sourced (just ask at reception). The sheltered cove with its sandy beach is a short stroll down the hill, safe for swimming and with rock pools to explore at low tide. The cottages offer accommodation of varying sizes, each having a different outlook over the grounds. Wildlife is plentiful with birds, squirrels and even occasionally deer attracted by the landscaped grounds and woodland. Set just outside the thriving maritime town of Falmouth there are coastal footpaths and tree-lined creeks nearby and sailing, canoeing and diving lessons available locally. You can walk along the cliffs from Maenporth past sandy beaches at Swanpool and Gyllyngvase and on into historic Falmouth, where there is plenty to explore. There are renowned gardens at Trebah and Glendurgan on the banks of the Helford River, and the north coast surfing beaches are only a 45 minute drive away. Boats and dinghies are welcome on site but commercial and camper vans are regretfully not permitted.
