I spent a wonderfully relaxing week here with my 2 year old boxer dog in October 23. The setting is sublime, nestled amongst the trees and next to a stream. The property is at the end of a short driveway and is very private. The furnishings and fittings inside the mill are of exceptional quality, no expense has been spared. The property is close to many of the wonderful places that Cornwall has to offer with lots of walks, beaches and moors to experience. If you're looking for a very comfortable place to relax , in a beautiful setting, and get away from a hectic life, then look no further.

Wonderful location, well equipped, secluded and peaceful converted mill. Good use of space, good quality fixtures & fittings and crockery. Ideal for our needs. Thank you! :)

On our arrival to welcome us, sitting on the kitchen table was the most perfectly baked 'Banana Cake'. After a long journey a piece of cake and a cup of tea was the most fitting start to our holiday. The setting of the Mill surrounded by woodland was perfect and our dog Luna loved it too. We holidayed in mid September when the nights draw in early so taking a torch when venturing outside in the evening is a must as it is pitch black with hardly any light pollution. The accommodation was laid out very well, clean, comfortable and spacious. I would love to revisit again and would highly recommend this holiday cottage to anyone looking for a truly relaxing holiday.

The Trewane Estate provides an oasis of calm and tranquility with beautiful grounds burgeoning with lush ferns, rhododendrons, wisteria clambering to the very top of the trees and a picturesque mill pond. Trewane Mill has been beautifully transformed into a delightful, well equipped and very tastefully decorated holiday cottage. We felt as if we were miles away from everywhere but in fact geographically the Mill is perfectly situated to access all the Cornish north coast places that we wanted to visit.

Like the Cottage and the Barn at Trewane, the Mill is a stylishly equipped property with all guest comforts thought of and provides a fabulous but peaceful base for a holiday on the North Cornish coast. Not too far to visit all the main sights but wonderful to come away and enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the Trewane estate. Would recommend.

A fabulous holiday home, with quality furnishings and equipment. Secluded and private, but within easy reach of tourist attractions. We visited Boscastle, Tintagel, Rock and Padstow (via the ferry). I'd recommend taking provisions as shops are a fair way away.

Very peaceful setting in close contact with nature. Beautifully maintained to a very good standard

While nicely remote and peaceful, Trewane Mill is just minutes from many of the north coast and moorland attractions and we found it quite easy to get around. If you like rural tranquility in a high standard of accomodation, this property may be the one for you. So lovely in spring with the bluebells, campion, primroses, rhoddies, clematis and wisteria all in a profusion of scents and colors. Stellar!

An excellent relaxing holiday with first class service.

Trewane Mill is a delightful retreat in beautiful location within easy reach of Port Isaac, Padstow and the North Cornish coast. The accommodation is very well equipped and comfortable with a spacious, open plan layout. We had a highly enjoyable stay and would be happy to return.

One of the nicest we have ever had the pleasure to stay in. Very well equipped, homely & comfortable. Enjoyed taking a walk around the attached land, a bit of a ramble in places! Certainly on our list to return to.

Trewane Mill is in a lovely, rural and quiet location with trees surrounding, we heard owls hooting every evening. That said it is still within easy reach of the coast. The house was spacious, very clean, well furnished and comfortable. Would love to return one day.

This cottage had everything we could possibly want in a gorgeous location. We felt as if we were in a Cornish jungle, albeit in a comfortable and wonderfully equipped cottage. The garden is great for a lazy sunbathe and the terrace is perfect for a BBQ. We really appreciated being able to use the orchard and surrounding fields for walks with the dog. Pubs and other amenities are a short drive away and all in all, it was a lovely stay in a super area.

Lovely house and a great location.

Trewane Mill is a lovely cottage in a quiet and peaceful location.

It has everything you need and is in a great location close to lots of beaches which made things easy keeping the kids happy.

The setting for Trewane Mill is idyllic and a great base for exploring the North Coast. There are plenty of great pubs/restaurants within a 20 minute drive. The mill itself is lovely - some things need some attention but on the whole a great place to stay!

The Mill goes way beyond anything we could possible have expeced.

This is a wonderfully equipped cottage in a tranquil setting yet within easy reach of the coast.

We've stayed in self catering cottages for 35 years in Cornwall and this is one of the best,

Don’t want to rave too much as others will book !

Trewane Mill is a top quality rental property. It combines a great overall location, with easy access to the coast, great walks and attractions, with an isolated feel that really makes for a quiet, relaxed stay.

The facilities in the Mill are generally great - high standard, plenty of everything you need, and the space inside is open, easy to use and very comfortable.

A beautiful cottage with the open living area upstairs, set in a lovely large garden. Very peaceful and hearing Owls during the night was great. On arrival it was so thoughtful as milk, tea, coffee, sugar, scones, jam, strawberries and clotted cream were provided. This was very welcome after travelling from the North West.
Logs were provided so having a fire in the evening made it so comfortable.
Having the utility room was a bonus with having the baby with us.
Thank you for a lovely first holiday with our Grandson and his parents.

Beautiful peaceful location and very comfortable cottage - ideally placed for exploring the North Cornwall coastline. Delightful grounds to walk around - lots of daffodils, bluebells and the biggest collection of camelias I have seen.

Nice relaxing quiet place to stay. The open plan living area is really light, spacious and comfortable. Good terrace, garden and surrounding areas.

A magical place. Cottage beautifully presented and wonderfully comfortable.

Absolutely fantastic place to get away from everything can’t recommend the Mill highly enough!

Trewane Mill is one of the best places we have stayed in Cornwall. Not only is it full of character and comfort, it is also situated in such a peaceful and beautiful wooded location. Each morning we were woken by the most wonderful Spring dawn chorus from so many birds. At night we were able to stand outside and see the most amazing starry sky without any light pollution. It is a nature lover’s paradise and we didn’t want to leave.

Recently returned from our second visit this year to the wonderful Trewane Mill and we were not disappointed. If you want space in the kitchen, lounge/diner area then look no further. The owners are very friendly and courteous but not intrusive in any way. We are trying another one of the Trewane properties in a few weeks time and I am sure it will be of the same excellent standard as the Mill. Would definitely recommend the Mill for a peaceful and tranquil stay in a beautiful location. In our opinion this is the best Classic holiday let that we have stayed in to date and we cannot wait until our next visit.

Thank you for allowing us to stay in your wonderful Mill

Martin & Gina

The Mill is perfect for a family stay in Cornwall. We had a super week and loved the property. Very tastefully decorated and furnished. Lots of space but still felt very cosy and sociable. Have already recommended it to friends! One point is that you do need a car to get around. No local shop or pub that is close by. It took us about 40 mins to walk back from the Cornish Arms, which wasn’t a problem at all for us, but may be for some. But it is a wonderful place to stay for a break. We will definitely be back! Thank you!

We stayed at Trewane Mill about 4 years ago and had forgotten how lovely the location is. The Mill is situated away from the main house and the other holiday accommodation and is very quiet and peaceful. The accommodation is clean, comfortable and well equipped.

I have been holidaying in Cornwall for over 30 years and this is one of the nicest properties I’ve stayed in

Lovely location. Central to all the obvious tourist areas and good beaches within a short drive

A friendly local pub just down the road offering entertainment and good food

The owners had thought of everything you might need during your stay even down to hand soap at each sink, and day to day items like washing up liquid, bin bags, cling film and foil - all of which I’d taken as not provided in previous properties.

The house and especially the equipment were absolutely outstanding!! Furniture, stores, dishes, cooking facilities (AGA!), and all the stuff a housewife needs has a singular spirit of generosity, taste, and style. The rooms are lovely both for living and sleeping because of the absolutely quietness and wonderful nature surrounding the estate which breaths history and modern requirements aswell. We hope that everyone who is allowed to stay a little bit of time in those inspiring environment is able to appreciate this privilege. The one single fact to critizise is the lack of pressure in the shower (but this is a recurrent phenomenon in British cottages).

In great location for pubs and resturants in st kew and st tudy with easy access to port Isaac which we whatever comfortable to stop in and relax with friends eating.

The Cottage exceeded our expectations. It is very comfortable, cosy, spacious, private and very well equipped. We loved the Aga too! We were pleasantly surprised to find a storage area where we could keep our bikes during the stay and the laundry room was perfect for the storage and drying of our wetsuits. We would definitely consider staying there again in future.

loved the open plan; very sociable and plenty of room. High standard of fixtures and owners were nice people. Had small problem with shower handle and it was fixed very quickly

Very peaceful, beautiful and secluded location. Well equipped property, Aga is great!! Enough space for six plus a dog. Great escape for those requiring a mini mobile phone detox!

A little piece of heaven in a manic world. Watch rabbits in the orchard, see the tawny owl hunt, enjoy your own paradise then get in the car and be at the beach in 20 minutes, can't fault it. Classic have never let us down, it's always a classic holiday.

I think I have said it all! A MUST place to book.

Trewane Mill is a beautiful and comfortable property located in a tranquil area. Highly recommended. Thank you.

The house was as described and the welcome cake and tea was sooo appreciated after our long journey down to Cornwall. Loved the mill, very secluded, well furnished and comfortable we loved being there and as stated before loved the opportunity to cook on a working aga. We were totally pleased with the house and enjoyed our stay there.

We loved the Christmas tree and door wreath! They made the cottage feel really homely and all the other treats were great. The children felt at home straight away. We all had a wonderful Christmas. Thank you

A warm welcome and a lovely place to come back to at the end of the day

Its a stunning cottage in a central location with easy access to everything. Lovely people who are very welcoming.

We did not want to leave this idyllic retreat. It was so comfortable.

A wonderfull place for total relaxtation and comfort we were both so very happy with our week there. Even our dog Bruno settled in very quickly

Trewane Mill is a beautiful property with everything you need for a comfortable stay and the location is fantastic with a quiet location to come home too, but also close enough for all attractions. We have fallen in love with Trewane Mill and will be returning next year. Carla, Ian and Jade.

A very good cottage for a family, clean ,safe and cosy yet with loads of living area space.A very good base for West Cornwall.

Beautiful location. Well placed for the surfing beaches of Trebarwith Strand, Constantine Bay etc. On non-beach days : good position for exploring other parts of Cornwall's coast and inland.

Very clean and well equipped. Super location - quiet, peaceful and not overlooked by any other properties.

This was a delightful, peaceful and relaxing holiday cottage. A welcoming place to return to for a cream tea on the terrace or in the private garden after a day out on the coast.

We have been holidaying in Cornwall for many years and have at last found our perfect retreat. Idyllic in every way. Can't wait to return next year. Thank you.

Trewane Mill is a very comfortable well equipped holiday home with owners who really care that everything is perfect for you. It is set in beautiful grounds and is a great base to visit places like Padstow, Rock, Bodmin Moor, Tintagel and Boscastle all within about a 20 minute drive.

A wonderful cottage in a beautiful setting. Ideal for dog lovers if they are welcomed with no additional charge!!!

During the storms, the location was superb, as we hardly heard or felt the wind. Superb location, warm and comfortable. Liked the AGA after a few days getting used to it! lack of hanging storage in bedrooms, some kitchen equipment.

Excellent open fire; it would be better if there had been tongs and a shovel as well as a brush and a poker!

A lovely cottage in a quiet location, wonderful for recharging the batteries of life.

Great location for surfing at Polzeath, heading off on camel trail into Padstow. Also not too far to visit Fifteen, Haryln Bay etc. After an active day out it was great to come back to The Mill away from the crowds and to feel right at home. Lovely setting, great holiday!

I must just say how lovely the owner is. We had a tea tray, biscuits, milk and a bottle of wine waiting for us-a lovely thought and much appreciated after such a long journey. The boiler malfunctioned one evening,so no heating or hot water. The owner very kindly offered to put us all up in her house for the night, baths etc. We didn't stay over but the next morning the engineer arrived and when we returned all was fixed plus a bottle of champagne in the fridge. Wonderful kind and caring people. Despite all our caution, our puppy did escape a couple of times (though not far)- I wonder if it would be an idea to put a gate on the terrace,so there is an area that is completely enclosed.

Last year was our first visit to Cornwall for a holiday and we had a great time. Our previous holiday was in st ives. We decided to revisit Cornwall again this year as we love the area. When we found the mill on the classic cottages web site , it looked perfect and we were not disappointed . The mill was everything we wanted and would consider staying there again and would recommend it to all our friends and family. The property was very well presented and maintained. Good size bedrooms , all beds with clean fresh linen and were comfortable too. The shower great and nice clean fresh towels provided. Separate rooms for shower and bath and each room a toilet . The living area was well equipped , nicely furnished and a nice touch was free Wi-fi. Just outside on the patio was a little sun deck with table and chairs and we found it a nice little sun trap in the evening to sit and wind down after a nice day walking around places like Boscastle and Tintagel. We will be going back here again.

Lovely, lovely place with everything we needed and more. The pictures do not do this accommodation justice! Booking was easy and swift and very different to other companies I was looking at and speaking too - great staff member.
