We had a fantastic stay at the Old Post House. The house was just perfect and exactly as described. Everything we could have asked for as a family of 6 was provided. The beds were super comfortable too and the owners very welcoming. The location was perfect - just outside York so nice and peaceful but half an hours drive away and you’re right in the centre of York. We would stay again in a minute. A must is a visit to Ashleigh’s bakery van which comes on a Saturday morning and the butchers shop right next door had an excellent choice of meats at very reasonable prices. The cottage was well equipped for our multi generation family. The kitchen and bathroom were both very clean, the beds and sofas were comfortable. Everything felt fresh and welcoming. My son had no complaints about the WiFi! Great location for our trips out to York, Flamingoland and Wetherby. We’d recommend Stockeld Park particularly for ages 11 and under, although we all enjoyed it. ...

This cottage was perfect, being in a lovely friendly village and with many places to visit locally. The cottage has high quality furnishings and the beds super comfortable. Bathroom has a good shower with plenty of hot water. Kitchen is very well stocked and the welcome pack was appreciated. The added bonus is the hot tub, perfect for star gazing on an evening. ...
