Myrtle Cottage has a delightful garden with many areas to sit out and enjoy the river location. From the waterside up to the hot tub and outdoor kitchen there is an area to enjoy no matter what time of day.
The beautiful Hamble River upstream from Myrtle Cottage. You can hire paddle boards and kayaks locally and start your days adventure from the cottage.
The festoon lighting makes the outdoor dining and kitchen area a great space to use into the evenings.
The outdoor kitchen and dining area make for some special evenings - festoon lights mean that you can spend as long as you like outside, making the most of those warm evenings.
Charter Gull, a classic, electrically powered launch with or without  skipper. Take a picnic and be collected and dropped off from the private pontoon.
Privately charter a skippered 58ft motorboat or a 9.7mtr RIB for a wonderful day out on the solent.

Take a RIB over the Solent to Yarmouth and have lunch, a delightful holiday treat.

Another beautiful homely touch are the bedside lamps, so much care and attention has been spent making this a cottage to truly enjoy.

The twin room is accessed off the landing at the top of the stairs through this cute and unusual door  - ideal for children or adults happy to step into a fairy-tale room.

The pontoon is private to Myrtle Cottage; it can be used by guests or as a pick up location for various boats. Book a RIB across the Solent to The Isle of Wight or up-river to enjoy a picnic on the bankside.
Hamble-le-rice is a lovely place to explore - why not use the river taxi to get there; straight from the private pontoon at Myrtle Cottage.

Visit the New Forest ponies at Hatchet Pond.
Plenty of walking can be found across the New Forest.
Not far from Myrtle Cottage is The Royal Victoria Country Park, there is plenty to explore here; from the shoreline to woodland walks and play areas for the children.
The Historic Dockyard at Portsmouth makes for a great day out.
There are two ways down to the cottage from the road - these are the steps, the other pathway is mainly sloping.
