Acorn Barn is a beautiful, spacious property with breathtaking views. It had all the facilities for a relaxing weekend, great location with very local pub and lovely walks.

We came over from Australia to celebrate my 60th birthday and retirement with my family who live in Sussex. And we're so happy we chose Acorn Barn to do it. It just immediately felt like home and everyone loved it, adults and kids alike. So much so that it was always a pleasure to return after a jaunt out and about, to enjoy a home-cooked meal and simply relax and soak it all in. The location is superb and having a lovely convivial pub a mere 100 or so yards away was brilliant. We could go on and on about the beautiful surroundings, the Downs, picturesque countryside and villages but won't. Go and see for yourself.

If you’re looking for comfort, style, log fires, games, puzzles, walks with views and a lovely cosy pub round the corner, Acorn Barn is a perfect choice… and in warmer months there’s plenty of places to sit in the garden with a G&T and take in the beautiful scenery or visit the seaside nearby. Couldn’t fault it at all and will return. The Salisburys Hertfordshire

Beautiful holiday home in lovely gardens and stunning views. Well equipped, comfortable and everything you would need for a lovely family holiday. Located for excellent walking on the South Downs straight from the door, a mile walk across the fields to the lovely village of Alfriston with its great pubs especially The Star and the Badgers Tearoom and only a 15 minute drive to the coast. A perfect venue for a wonderful family get together to celebrate a special birthday!

Excellent location, walks on door step, beautiful garden with views.

Acorn Barn is a beautiful property. The garden is extensive with many ponds and so many places to sit. There are wonderful views over the South Downs. We loved the well equipped warm kitchen. It had everything we required to cook on those evenings we preferred to stay in. There were so many country pubs near to explore all providing really good food. The beds were so comfortable which is a must. We slept so well here. A super place which we cannot recommend highly enough.

A stunning area to explore and beautiful property with oodles of space, which offers numerous comfortable areas both inside and out. Perfect for a family vacation/celebration to enjoy.

This is the perfect house to relax in. The facilities are excellent and the rooms furnished to a really high standard. Possibly the best holiday cottage we've ever stayed in.

The location was excellent, with Alfriston a pleasant walk away, other walks from the doorstep, and an excellent pub just yards away.

You will not be disappointed with this Barn. It is amazing! Excellent garden for people and dogs (3) alike. Inside there is everything you can possibly think of. Very comfortable and spacious. Would definitely recommend if you get the chance.

Acorn Barn was a beautiful property full of character and in a great location for exploring this part of Sussex and the South Downs. The extensive gardens were really nice to sit out in, with seating available in multiple locations to make best use of the sun during the day. The village was very peaceful with great local dog walks on the doorstep. The lower garden was also completely secure for dogs once the gates were closed which was really great for us. For guests intending to genuinely self-cater they will need to familiarise themselves with the working of the Everhot Range!

We had a wonderful time at Acorn Barn. Bowled over by the fantastic views, beautiful garden and property. Brilliant for local access to walks of the South Downs way and Sussex coastline.

The kitchen was a fabulous place to cook and eat and the lounge perfect for relaxation.

Would highly recommend.

Acorn Barn has so many pluses - magnificent showers, very comfy beds, excellent family ‘together’ space, really lovely views, gardens and ponds, appropriate heating , very well equipped kitchen, great set of CD’s and excellent library - a real home from home.

A pub at the end of the drive and a great selection of places to go in the day….what’s not to go back for?

Thank you very much….

Acorn Barn is an excellent house in a beautiful location. It is very well appointed and the owners truly welcomed our dog. The walks from the house are very enjoyable and the close proximity of the Sussex Ox was a bonus. There is much to see and do in the area, especially if you enjoy walking, natural history and visiting historic buildings.

Acorn Barn is a gorgeous property situated a stones throw from Alfriston at the foot of The South Downs. We booked this in order to celebrate my husband’s 70th Birthday.

We had an amazing stay at Acorn Barn, can't fault it. Lovely on arrival with heating & lights on on a cold winters night. Comfortable beds, lovely bathrooms, plenty of space & lovely gardens for the dog. Walks onto the Downs & a pub up the road, perfect!

Very nice converted barn in a quiet location, nice pub only a hundred yards away but no noise from it and only a mile or so from the A27 for Eastbourne.
Comfortable beds and lovely big kitchen ideal space for the family to eat.
Lovely big, well kept garden which was great for our dog, extensive unrestricted views of the countryside. Being there in October we did not sit out to eat but we could imagine in the summer it would be a lovely place for breakfast, evening drinks and BBQ. Lots of nice walks from the barn across fields but the roads are not really suitable for dog walking.

Wonderful location Beautiful views and tranquil ambience Very well appointed house

A lovely property in a secluded location with great walks and cycle routes from the door

I absolutely loved my stay at Acorn Barn with my westies. House and garden very dog proof. A beautiful house, with everything you need, in a beautiful area. A wonderful home away from home. Love to be back.

Acorn Barn is simply wonderful, both in terms of atmosphere and comfort. The description of property was accurate and may even have understated the property's size, comfort and overall quality. The garden surrounding the property ensures you can always sit in the sun or in the shade, depending on what you wish. The EV charging station was a true live-saver, it turned out. The location of Acorn Barn was excellent as well. Secluded enough to be on your own, but just a short drive away from villages and towns. Communication with Classic Cottages also deserves to be mentioned - extremely friendly and professional.
