We had a fabulous stay at Carricknath , all rooms are large and spacious , good clean bed linens , and towels , a very well equipped kitchen , sadly no tumble dryer certainly not an issue for us . The views are breathtaking and each morning it was a joy to sit and watch over St Mawes a continuous changing painting of scenes , sunrise and sunset… stunning ,the steep hill as everyone mentions is steep but worth it for the fabulous views and the bakery and eating places in the harbour makes it worth every step .! We would definitely book again . Parking for two cars also a bonus ....

Carricknath is in a wonderful location with fantastic sea views over Carrick Roads and the entrance to St Mawes harbour. The cottage is spacious, extremely comfortable and very well equipped. The large utility room is very useful and two bathrooms an added bonus. But be warned - the walk up the steep hill from the village could be a challenge for some. We've stayed here three times now, and have loved every minute....

You will not be disappointed with the property, it has wonderful sea views and is very well equipped. The beds are extremely comfortable and the property is very clean. I have never slept as well as during the stay here, it is so peaceful. Although the driveway is very steep, you can park at the bottom of it. St Mawes is a beautiful place to stay and other places are easily accessible by car. If you walk down to the town from the property, be prepared for a steep climb back!!! A wonderful stay in a lovely place....

The cottage is beautifully decorated and has all the comforts of home. The location could not be better. The views from the sea facing windows are spectacular. There are books and puzzles for rainy days, a windowseat to doze off in the warm rays of the sun on a windy day and lovely little touches throughout. Can't recommend highly enough. Very spacious as well. We wanted to stay forever!...
