Fabulous location for views, peace & quiet, walk up and down to village very steep but worth it. Incredibly comfy beds, well maintained & clean. Absolute delight. Bear in mind garden not secure for small children or dogs. Ultimately our favourite place that we have stayed in, in St Mawes in 20 years! Thank you. ...

A spacious property in a quiet location with wonderful views over the estuary. Please note a steep walk to / from the village. If you are comfortable with the walk into St Mawes you can enjoy many car free days. An excellent base to explore the Roseland peninsula. Nice out door dinning space from which to enjoy the views and enjoy an adult beverage. ( or 2 ) ...

This is a lovely property - the ever changing stunning views across to Saint Anthony's head and the Percuil River are the icing on the cake. Lounging on the window seat with the binoculars at the ready was a favourite pastime. Carricknath was very clean, spacious and had everything that we needed for our holiday. The area is beautiful - the Roseland Peninsula is rightly considered to be one of the loveliest places in the British Isles There is no need to use the car very much as St Mawes has a good range of places to eat, ferries to Falmouth and Place and there are lovely walks alongside Carrick Roads, the estuary of the River Fal. Local gems: a ferry trip, lunch at The Hidden Hut at Porthcurnick Beach, G&T on the beach terrace of the Tresanton Hotel, the walk to St Just in Roseland Church. We had a super family holiday here. ...

The most wonderful views across Falmouth Bay and the peace and quiet reminded us how busy and noisy our ordinary lives are. Thank you for a memorable week at Carricknath.
