Great location, welcoming owners, great property, perfect for a family holiday. Have stayed there twice and will no doubt return again.

Lovely cosy cottage - exceptionally well equipped in a beautiful area . Beds a bit too soft for us and a shame no enclosed space for dogs .

This beautiful cottage was immaculate and in a lovely rural setting. It wasn’t as secluded as we thought with the windows, patio and hot tub all facing the owners car park and with lots of builders around we had to keep curtains closed and didn’t use the outside space due to the lack of privacy. The hot tub had dirty footprints in it when we arrived and the drain hose was still in so it kept emptying! It takes five hours to heat up and needs you to be there to add wood to the fire every half an hour… we didn’t bother in the end as it felt such a faff! There are footpaths nearby but we were clueless about where we could and couldn’t walk (property description said you could use their land for dogs and kids) but there was no map so we were worried about trespassing on neighbours land. The cottage was very spacious and kitted out with everything we needed but it felt a little tight for a family of four as the sofas were very small and there wasn’t enough crockery without having to wash up after every meal/snack. We had a lovely stay but we probably wouldn’t have booked knowing the lack of privacy and hot tub faff!

We are delighted you found the cottage to be very clean, beautiful and in lovely countryside. Thank you for sharing your observations, we're so sorry that you identified a couple of issues - the owner would have been very happy to help had they known. The owners do live next door, unfortunately they had to ask a builder to carry out some work on their roof, and we can only apologise that you found this affected your desire to make use of the outside space. We are pleased that you enjoyed your stay overall. Sarah R, Customer Support

The byre is in a wonderful location and finished to a high standard. The owners are very friendly but not at all intrusive. Take the time to use the hot tub, it will be worth it. Make sure your vehicle can deal with a very uneven surface (when you turn off the tarmac road).

UPDATE - Summer 2023 The track that leads to the property has been recently tarmacked to improve the surface.

We had a lovely family holiday at Park Farm Byre. It’s situated in a stunning rural setting. There are lots of places to explore a short drive away. The cottage is very comfortable with everything you could need. Well equipped with washing machine and small utility area, very useful with a dog! The hot tub was a bonus too after a day exploring prefect way to relax! The owners were very welcoming and helpful. Would recommend.

could provide a bit more information on the property.
