A comfortable and clean property in a very peaceful spot. Nikki and Chris were friendly and helpful hosts and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We would be happy to return.

The overall standard and facilities at Glendale are excellent. If you want to get away from the rat race and are seeking somewhere to switch off, this is the place. Really well situated for discovering North Devon. We had a really great break.

Amazing cottage and surrounding gardens. Fantastic stay. Would 100% stay here again

We were looking for a place to relax and unwind and this was definitely the ideal cottage. The hosts were very friendly and the cottage and grounds well kept and clean. There are lots of places to sit in the grounds with sculptures and ornaments and wildlife, we saw a barn owl most evenings. The local coastal walks are spectacular and we had a couple of great meals in the Thatched Inn Pub in the next village. Would stay there again if we were in the area.

Beautiful location, cosy and comfortable cottage. Warm welcome from hosts who left lovely treats. Definitely worth a return visit.

Excellent location, attentive and help hosts, very good value for money. Hope to make a return visit.

A great cottage in a beautiful location. Chris and Nikki couldn't have been nicer and the welcome pack was much appreciated. The only drawback was the lack of WiFi inside the cottage. Hopefully this could be rectified in the future.

Fantastic cottage in a stunning location in the countryside but allowing for easy access to all the local attractions. The views were amazing. Lovely warm welcome and nothing too much trouble for our hosts. Enjoyed the welcome pack and fresh flowers. Everything we needed for a relaxing holiday, highly recommended.

A beautiful cottage in a quiet and idyllic location. A warm welcome from the friendly owners together with a gift of complementary provisions was very much appreciated. The cottage itself had everything we needed, with comfortable beds and a spacious living area downstairs. Cleaned and equipped to a high standard. We would certainly return.

A beautiful location. Lovely well equipped cottage. Owners next door but never intrusive. Their customer service was first class. A great place to explore North Devon. No laundry facilities or wi-fi. Overall excellent.

We had a lovely stay in a very comfortable cottage. Our hosts were fantastic. The setting for the cottage is beautiful and very close to all places of interest yet still retaining seclusion We would have no hesitation in recommending Glendale Cottage and no doubt we will be booking again in the future

Fantastic stay at Glendale. Hosts Nikki and Chris were so welcoming and accommodating and provided a lovely welcome pack which included all the essentials needed. Beautiful cottage in lovely gardens and an excellent base for exploring Devon and Cornwall. Thankyou

Our stay at Glendale Cottage was fantastic. It was the perfect place for our family holiday. The location was perfect to explore the North Devon coast and beaches and the cottage was furnished and equipped very well. Everything we needed or could have wished for was provided. We received a warm welcome from the owners and they went above and beyond in supplying toys and entertainment for our 3-year old. We would highly recommend Glendale Cottage!

We had a great week at Glendale Cottage. The cottage was immaculate on our arrival, comfortable and in a perfect location for us to explore the beautiful North Devon countryside. We’d recommend walks along the South West Coast Path from Bucks Mill, Hartland Quay, Peppercorn and Duckpool - we were just at the right time of year to see magnificent carpets of bluebells in the woodland. We also enjoyed a day on the Tarka Trail on bikes hired at Barnstaple.

After a day walking along the coast it was a pleasure to return to the cottage, prepare something to eat in the well equipped kitchen and then settle down in front of the cosy woodburner.

The newly decorated cottage has many individual touches to enjoy as does the extensive garden, home to a collection of characterful sculptures and a number of seating areas in which to relax and take in the tranquility of the surroundings.

Chris and Nikki made us very welcome and were keen to make sure we had everything we needed for an enjoyable stay. The ‘welcome pack’ items were very thoughtful and much appreciated.

Recommended.
