We loved the quiet, clean, comfortable and well equipped cottage, lots of nice extra touches, ie nice toiletries, hands soap etc. Charming friendly village with an enviable Arts Centre which features different performances on a Thursday. Lots of walks, two pubs, coffee shop, ice cream parlour and an interesting area. A railway station and local bus service, great place to stay.

The cottage is lovely but really doesn’t have off road parking ! Once u find the car park it is very close to the cottage just a few meters away to walk ! The location really is beautiful a lovely village with the river running along the bottom with a park for the kids and a lovely pub for food and drinks which we went to twice for a meal. We had a lovely week here.

The cottage was well equipped, clean, comfortable and tastefully decorated

What a fabulous property, Cadena Cottage had everything we needed for our short break. The owners have tastefully decorated the property throughout but the original features still stand out, it was lovely to be able to have a wood burner, (something we do not have a home). The cleanliness of the cottage was excellent, would definitely stay at the property in the future. A big thankyou for the cake & bubbly for my husbands birthday treat, much appreciated.

It is so lovely that you had a lovely birthday stay at Cadena Cottage - it does look beautiful! A wood-burner is a great facility and a cosy way to spend an evening - especially on a wet and windy day. We hope to welcome you back. Sarah, Customer Support

We loved it! Family of 4 with the grandparents and it had all we needed. Great spec as always with Classic and we loved the living room in particular, lots of cosy nights! Brilliant location, Calstock is an absolute gem! As with every Classic Cottage we have been too another one to highly recommend!

Our stay at Cadena Cottage was exceptional, we had a fantastic time and felt very welcome and at home. Everything for both us and our 2 young children was provided, even little details like plates and bowls and cutlery especially for the kids and non-slip mat in the bath. There were books too, which our son adored and lots of choice on programmes and films for the kids to indulge in. My husband and i especially loved the wood burner and made us realise how much we missed having one in our own home. We came away feeling really relaxed and refreshed. Really fab place to stay, thank you.

It sounds absolutely perfect for the children, especially with books and plenty of choice of programmes or a film to keep them entertained. We're sure it's perfect for adults too, especially sitting in front of the cosy woodburner of an evening. We can understand why you came away feeling relaxed and refreshed. Kelsey, Customer Support

We really enjoyed our stay at Cadena Cottage. It is a very comfortable, well equipped house. We appreciated the welcome pack on arrival and always looked forward to evenings in front of the log fire. Calstock is an ideal place to stay for exploring East Cornwall and West Devon.

Love it! We felt so at home, Cadena Cottage is quietly tucked away in the lovely village, inside is so well appointed, very tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean, the kitchen is a really good size, lovely big table to sit around planning the day ahead, after a lovely day out the lounge is so comfortable to relax in, our only difficulty was deciding which of the double bedrooms to have! ( green and pink for us) . You don't have to travel too far to get to Dartmoor, Bodmin Moor, South Cornwall coast and National Trust properties so all in all location is good, would we stay again? you bet we would.

We really enjoyed are week at Cadena cottage. Its so nice when you walk in and the place is exactly as described or even better in this case. The cottage was beautiful, very nicely furnished, perfectly clean and smelt lovely! Everything you need is provided, and well thought out. The location is perfect, Calstock is a stunning place, and there are so many nice walks and places to visit nearby. Easy free parking in the village a few minutes walk away. We really enjoyed our stay and will visit again, the cottage is a credit to the owners and the classic website and service is great. Adam, Molly and Buzz the mini Schnauzer x

The perfect cottage for a home from home with every fine detail accounted for, down to a beautiful welcome package to make sure we had treats and tea/coffee and washing! Even down to shampoo/ shower gels etc! Litterally thought of everything! Would highly recommend x

If you are looking for a quite break away in a stunning, unspoilt Cornish village, look no further! This beautiful cottage, nestled in the heart of Calstock village, is the perfect place for a relaxing holiday. Located on the edge of the river Tamar, it has fantastic walks between the river and the wetlands. Great place for bird spotting! This walk leads up to the historic, old tin mines. The other direction along the river leads to beautiful woods that take you up to the National Property, Cotehele House, Quay, Mill and gardens. The cottage is just as perfect as the pictures look. Fluffy new towels, the best toiletries, scones on arrival - just perfect. There wasn't a thing missing. In the village is a very friendly cafe, a small store and some great art galleries/shops. Our son also enjoyed meeting up with the local boys to play football on the large pitch. We took the train in the village, over the viaduct, down to Plymouth. Love the train ride, but Plymouth wasn't as exciting as we hoped. If you do go, the best bagel shop is in Royal William Yard, and the Hoe is a lovely area to walk around. Our favourite days out were long walks along the coast, from Rame along to Kingsand is the best, ending in a great little deli. You can walk further and take the ferry across to Plymouth. Adrenalin Quarry was fun for all the family - long zipwire over a lake and newly surfaced Go Karting. Our favourite local town was Tavistock. The market that's on every day is great. Italian deli sells amazing food and nice walks along the river. We drove on to the ancient forest at Two Bridges, in Dartmoor. Absolutely stunning. So, overall we love the location, the cottage and had a totally relaxing holiday - thank you to Antony and Lyndsey for all the hard work you put in to making this house so beautiful and perfect.
