The perfect cottage for a home from home with every fine detail accounted for, down to a beautiful welcome package to make sure we had treats and tea/coffee and washing! Even down to shampoo/ shower gels etc! Litterally thought of everything! Would highly recommend x

If you are looking for a quite break away in a stunning, unspoilt Cornish village, look no further! This beautiful cottage, nestled in the heart of Calstock village, is the perfect place for a relaxing holiday. Located on the edge of the river Tamar, it has fantastic walks between the river and the wetlands. Great place for bird spotting! This walk leads up to the historic, old tin mines. The other direction along the river leads to beautiful woods that take you up to the National Property, Cotehele House, Quay, Mill and gardens. The cottage is just as perfect as the pictures look. Fluffy new towels, the best toiletries, scones on arrival - just perfect. There wasn't a thing missing. In the village is a very friendly cafe, a small store and some great art galleries/shops. Our son also enjoyed meeting up with the local boys to play football on the large pitch. We took the train in the village, over the viaduct, down to Plymouth. Love the train ride, but Plymouth wasn't as exciting as we hoped. If you do go, the best bagel shop is in Royal William Yard, and the Hoe is a lovely area to walk around. Our favourite days out were long walks along the coast, from Rame along to Kingsand is the best, ending in a great little deli. You can walk further and take the ferry across to Plymouth. Adrenalin Quarry was fun for all the family - long zipwire over a lake and newly surfaced Go Karting. Our favourite local town was Tavistock. The market that's on every day is great. Italian deli sells amazing food and nice walks along the river. We drove on to the ancient forest at Two Bridges, in Dartmoor. Absolutely stunning. So, overall we love the location, the cottage and had a totally relaxing holiday - thank you to Antony and Lyndsey for all the hard work you put in to making this house so beautiful and perfect.
