Owner Chris and Laura went so much trouble to make our stay wonderful and very memorable! From the welcome tray - Lemon drizzle cake, fudge and and amazing dog treats, to a warm water outdoor shower to clean one very dirty and smelly dog!!
The cottage is even more beautiful than the photos, amazingly comfortable bed and a romantic walk through the woodland bluebells - what’s not to like? Oh and I mustn’t forget the blackbird that sang to us all day and the owls at night. It was a truly magical stay - we will be back!

Lovely cottage with everything included for a great stay. Fully equipped with everything you could want, lovely comfortable beds. Beautiful garden to sit in and to enjoy the surrounding countryside. Owners are very personable and go that extra mile to ensure you enjoy your stay.

This is a real gem, we loved the comfort, attention to detail from the owners, and tremendous welcome. The period features are lovely, as is the southward view from the beautiful garden.

Greystones is a beautiful property and far exceeded our expectations. The location is very peaceful and serene and guarantees a goodnight sleep. If you’re looking to get away for a relaxing week, as a family or couple, I highly reccomend this property.
The owners Chris and Laura were extremely hospitable and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Upon our arrival there was a beautiful welcome package with fresh home made cake, tea, coffee and a lovely card. There was even homemade treats for our dog and a bowl and mat to use.
The beautifully crafted kitchen is fully equipped and even comes with the small items you often forget when going on holiday, such as; dishwasher tablets, soap, washing up liquid, freezer bags and all cupboard essentials. The small touches were really appreciated.
The stunning living room was a favourite place to relax and unwind. Storm Eunice didn’t hinder our experience as we were able to cost up next to the roaring fire in the living room. The fire comes with a complementary basket of wood, kindling and fire lighters and you can buy more wood as and when required from the owners who kindly replace it as soon as you ask.
The decor of the house is flawless. The wide open staircase leads to two beautifully decorated - and extremely comfortable - rooms and a bathroom. The bathroom was large and had a powerful shower and yet again the owners left thoughtful items such as shower gel and shampoo, which we appreciated as we forgot ours.
We slept in the smaller of the two bedrooms but still managed to comfortably fit our 7 month old sons cot next the bed. There is room for a cot in both bedrooms.
The enclosed garden is perfectly pet friendly and a has stunning views across the valley.
There is also access to a communal washing machine and tumble dryer, and even dog crates if required.
There are plenty of things to do within a 20 minute drive from the property. Our stay at Greystones was one we will not forget and one we thoroughly enjoyed as a couple with a young baby. We felt relaxed and comfortable at all times.
Communication with the owners was excellent at all times.
We thoroughly recommend a stay at this property if you are looking to escape and cosy up by the fire for a few days.
Thank you Chris and Laura.
