Thank you so much! Horseshoe cottage was absolutely beautiful and we would love to stay again! I will definitely be recommending to all my family and friends. One of the best places I’ve ever stayed in. The owners went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The cottage also had a first aid kit that came in very handy.

The pool was a hit with the kids, location very remote and quiet -

We loved the cottage, the pool was a huge success with our family. Definitely recommend to friends and family.

Mould in bedrooms, poor quality mattress, cold swimming pool and cleaning not upto standards, bedroom not closing, and loose slabs on patio Buyers beware

We are very sorry that you were disappointed. It is a shame that you let us know on the last day of your stay as we would have loved to investigate and assist at the time. The housekeepers have found the patch of mould by the ceiling window which has been cleaned and they will repair the door catch which failed during your stay. The pool temperature was checked frequently during your stay and found between 29-32 degrees which is above the minimum temperature of 27 degrees and are sorry that this didn't suit your needs. We hope to welcome you to another property in the future. Sarah, Customer Support

UPDATE June 2023 - The housekeeping team has been changed.

A lovely cottage for extended family. Pool was lovely and warm. Especially liked the lounge upstairs especially in the evenings after a long day out.

Cottage was outstanding. Decor was beautiful very homely feel and very clean. Children loved the swimming pool, there are plenty of pool toys to keep them occupied in the pool. Little touches of having milk in the fridge and tea and coffee on arrival is lovely. Loads of information there on days out with the family clovelly is defiantly a place to visit. There is a co-op and takeaway just 13minutes away which is very handy The views from the top windows of the cottage are just beautiful and it is so very peaceful Would definitely recommend this beautiful cottage and will defiantly be staying again ??

Nice cottage, not considered luxury, although all relative. Lots of holiday traffic through hamlet heading to Hartland Quay ! Needed more attention to detail on refurbishment.
Good size, children loved pool. Acceptable accommodation- great friendly neighbours. 4 stars with attention to details.

The indoor pool and games rooms were a brilliant addition for the children. Bedrooms comfortable and nicely furnished, plenty of bathrooms. Cosy upstairs lounge. You need a car to stay here, it is very remote. The back garden is very small, the front garden is pleasant sit in but, be aware, it is in a shared space. Overall we enjoyed the cottage but I think it is very overpriced for what it is.

Fabulous stay in Easter 2022 with extended family and dog. Indoor pool and games room a big hit and lots of local beaches to visit.

Lovely cottage, plenty of space, we were a family of 5 and a dog and it was great to have two sitting areas and four bathrooms. Pool was excellent fun, used a lot, especially liked the beach ball for volleyball, thank you! Only a short drive to Hartland village where there a 3 pubs and a good coffee shop serving full English breakfast, cakes and plenty more. Good access to the coast for walking, quite a rugged coastline, closest beaches for walking and playing on would be Bude and Westward Ho! Ideal for a winter break, to enjoy the facilities of the cottage and the lovely pool. Very peaceful location.

A lovely house inside, decorated nicely. The children loved the pool but the pool temperature was colder than stated causing the children to shiver when using it. It needs to be at 30 degrees, as stated on the advert, for a winter break. The shower had mould in it, and crumbs were left on the kitchen worktops. We found mud and bits left around the pool area and the house temperature was to cold for the time of year with a sign saying we weren't to turn it up. We wouldn't book this house again for the price we paid.

Thanks so much for your review; we really appreciate your thoughts on how beautifully the house is presented. We're sorry that the pool temperature dropped a little - this can sometimes happen in use when the cover is off for extended periods and the air is cold, but it has been checked and was back up to temperature. We apologise for any cleanliness points that had been missed; these have now been addressed. The main central heating thermostat shouldn't be adjusted, but each radiator has an individual control so that guests can find a comfortable level for them. We appreciate your feedback and hope that your stay was an enjoyable one overall. Julie, Customer Support

UPDATE Jan 2023 - A new pool heating system has been installed and the pool area renovated.

Lovely cottage, in a peaceful rural location with great access to the rugged local coastline.
