If you were looking for cottages like Hoe Park House, how about trying these:

Majestic Hoe Park House is a simply stunning Victorian town house, beautifully renovated and perfectly positioned on Plymouth Hoe. Offering contemporary living at its best, every room has been elegantly styled with chic furnishings, plush carpets and local artwork adorning the walls. This fabulous, regal terraced house sits over four floors and offers the ideal getaway for extended family or a group of friends looking for a truly special holiday.

Sitting in a row of elegant town houses, Hoe Park House is a very special place. Take the beautifully handcrafted stairs to lower ground level and from the moment you step over the threshold you will be wowed.

The stylish kitchen/diner is stunning, light filled and tastefully designed with conviviality in mind. Its large Bontempi Casa table comfortably seats eight, and there's also a generous peninsula bar with seating. A perfect place to gather and talk over the day's adventures. The open plan white contemporary kitchen takes up most of the lower ground floor. It has quartz Statuario Milano surfaces, stylish glass splashbacks and is fitted with AEG appliances, including two fridges, two freezers (guests simply can't run out of drinks' chilling space) and two eye-level ovens that are a joy to cook with. One of these is a microwave-grill combi for last-minute meals. There's an induction hob, a dishwasher and plenty of storage. Because the kitchen is a second sitting-area as well as a place to cook and eat, there's a wall-mounted Smart TV and a Bluetooth speaker. Pair with your device and cue up that cooking playlist. A useful utility-room leads from the kitchen, with an AEG washing machine and tumble-drier, along with a laundry stand, iron and ironing board. The works of renowned local artist Derek Dickinson marry perfectly with the contemporary layout. A small courtyard leads off the kitchen through patio doors and this is the perfect place for freshly brewed morning coffee or an evening aperitif. There's also a handy WC on this level.

Head upstairs to the ground floor where you will pass the sleek, modern family bathroom with rainfall shower over the bath, ideal for a refreshing shower after a busy day. A couple more steps and you will discover the stunning principal sitting-room with superb high regency ceilings, dual-height sash windows and beautiful reclaimed wooden floor, which the creative owners have perfectly combined with 21st Century living; LED lighting, Smart TV, super comfy sofas and luxury rugs. The clever design divides the sitting-room into two sections - with original Victorian pocket doors discovered and restored during Hoe Park House's recent renovation - allowing everyone to socialise together or in two separate groups, perfect for larger families.

Climb the fabulous staircase from the elegant hallway to the first floor and you will pass the family shower-room with fabulous walk-in rainfall shower and classic grey tiles. The first floor is home to two of the four bedrooms, with the remaining two bedrooms being on the second floor. Each bedroom has sumptuous beds, luxury linens and are all decorated in soft, chic pastel shades, perfect for a good night's sleep. Bedroom one has a king-size bed and bedroom two has a super-king size bed. On the second floor the south-facing bedroom has a super-king size bed, the other has two singles, and both have super soft carpets to sink your toes into. The bedrooms at the rear of the house have lovely views across the city rooftops towards the beautiful wilderness of Dartmoor, whilst the rooms to the front take in the green space of Hoe Park. Footpaths lead to the Barbican with plentiful eateries, art galleries and a selection of eclectic shops, or perhaps you would prefer the Hoe and the lighthouse, you really can be soaking up a seascape vista just a short stroll away.

The house conveniently has a designated private parking bay just 120 yards away from the house with additional pay and display parking in plentiful supply close by and additional parking along all adjoining roads. The road immediately outside the house is a no through road and is only used by adjoining house as parking options.
